fruit-in-jars 101 by stacynguyen
"What is jam? What makes something authentically jam? Can bacon really be made into jam?
It was all very Existentialist.
The answer to those questions is a bit complicated and non-definitive. The U.S. FDA has defined jam and jelly in very specific and mathematical terms (such-and-such percentage of juice to fruit to water to sugar = jam/jelly); it also uses jam and preserve interchangeably, for the most part. While interesting, the FDAβs definitions did not matter much to me because the FDA wasnβt really using the terms in the way that we usually use the terms. Also, the FDA wasnβt comprehensive in its definitions. It didnβt tackle other fruit spreads like marmalades or curds, for instance.
The more I looked into, the more I thought, dude, this information would make a good infographic."

Simple Witch Tipπ¨
When painting/gluing stuff in your magical practice, add a pinch of salt and/or other herbs you associate with protection over the top layer of paint/nail polish/glue for that extra boost of protection in whatever you're doing.
(Take into consideration that this might add a texture to your paint, so you could work with that/avoid adding grains and use powder herbs instead according to what you have in mind)
Whatever the case, have some fun with your craft and keep your intentions in mindππ¦π π¨

β¨Protein Shake Spell for Anxiety Reliefβ¨
The adhd med shortage is kicking my ass and anxiety has been through the roof. Self care has been really difficult, but simple, on-the-go witchcraft has been helping me so much. This came to me in my car today and maybe itβll help you like it did me.
β¨
- Grab your protein shake (or whatever healthy food, drink, or medication you need) and bring your focus to it. Hold it in your hands and use energy work and visualization to feel the benefits from it increasing.
- As you continue imbuing it with energy, repeat this until you feel itβs ready:
βWith this *protein my body needs, my veins are filled with bliss and ease.
As I care for my bodyβs needs, my mind relaxes, my mind is freeβ
*(replace protein with whatever healthy item you need)
- With every sip you take, recall the energy, the words, and visualize yourself feeling calm and caring for yourself.
β¨
Take care of yourselves friends, I hope you feel ease today πβ¨

Spirits All Around
I think itβs really neat that if you ascribe to an animistic worldview, the types and numbers of things you are capable of Invoking and Evoking for magical purposes increases a LOT
Call upon weather phenomena, your own house, the roads to be safe for your friend on a trip. For your old car to stay well just long enough for you to get to your next paycheck before you have to say goodbye. For the wind storm to spare the old tree by your house because you canβt afford repairs that winter
It really helps to cultivate a worldview of communal relationships and to treat the WORLD around you with kindness. Which naturally can lead to treating people with kindness in your life
And not every Evocation and Invocation has to be a big ceremonial affair. Sure if youβre aiming to chat up local weather or major natural forces, it wouldnβt hurt to be polite and set up a formal means of address with a proper ceremony. But your beloved family kitchen knives will happily work your spell into your food for some kitchen witchery if you have a good relationship with them. And your favorite, world-worn jacket will shield you from the winter chill much better with a little spell to inspire it.
Combining some aspects of Ceremonial Magic with an Animistic Worldview can open up whole broad pathways in a practice when combined, if that can align with the paradigms you favor

I JUST HAD THE STUPIDEST FUCKING IDEA FOR CLEANSING A SPACE
put liquid soap in the moonlight. moon soap. get a bubble wand. blow moon bubbles.
Autistic Witchcraft
Incorporating stims into spellwork - angry stim when you curse, anxiety stim when you do a calming spell, happy stim when you do positive spells.
Use verbal stims as if they were chants.
Non verbal? Use AAC in spellwork. Sign language could be especially powerful.
Enchant your stim toys for happiness and for calming anxiety.
If you have a weighted blanket/lap pad, sew sigils into it for calm and for not being overstimulated.
Creating spells based on your special interest/ stimterests.
Autistic witchcraft, people! The possibilities are endless.
