The Hyper-fixated Couch Gremlin

I finished Jedi: Survivor recently and I’ve been obsessed with it. Wanted to try a larger art project and dust off the paints. It’s been a hot second since I’ve painted something this big, but super pleased with how it turned out! Based on this image (1/12 from the album).

They ended up developing into series / AU (Paramours & Propriety) that I’m eventually planning on writing more for eventually. Currently bouncing some ideas around and going down weird little rabbit holes. But if you’re interested here they are!

A Senator’s Favor, A Rebel’s Token, Rated: M

Cassian nodded. "After a mission, being alone is… difficult."

"So I've noticed," she bemoaned. "As the resident expert, what would you recommend?"

"A friend." Cassian shrugged. "And something a lot stronger than that," he finished with a smile. Reaching into his satchel, he pulled out an unlabeled bottle of amber liquid that he set on the table.

Mon cautiously returned his smile. She hadn't had the luxury of friends in a long while.

Cassian takes Mon back to Yavin after their escape from the Senate. A month later, they're sent out on a mission to Canto Bight and in the aftermath a situationship develops. This is a prequel to Risks Worth Taking, and part one of my Paramours & Propriety series.

"I'm so sorry, Mon, I hadn't realized you two were so close," Vel said, barely above a whisper.

Mon let out a humorless chuckle at that. "I hadn't realized it for myself until a couple hours ago."

After the Battle of Scarif, the Rebellion receives intel there were survivors. After an extraction team is sent out to retrieve them, Mon and Cassian come to terms with a situationship that's evolved beyond what they anticipated.

There’s been some incredible fics written for these two and reading them has inspired me to jump back into fic writing. I’ve done some writing over the past few years (a few original stories that I’ve started and never finished). I think it’s been like 15-20 years since I tried to write fanfic with already established characters and I’ve never had the courage to post anything…

Had a fun idea for a fix-it. A not everyone dies, post-Rogue One AU. It’s been a blast!

I’ve read a bunch of awesome fics that take place within the Andor timeline that have very much influenced the story I’m working on (specifically @yavinbarber’s a long, long way from home series and @frostbitepandaaaaa’s Make It Worth It). The authors do an incredible job and I would definitely recommend. This kinda feels like a very loose sequel to those since I love the history, camaraderie, and chemistry between the two that those authors established. I think I ended up referencing them a lil

I’ve finished my first draft 😬 it ended up being some incredibly self-indulgent, whumpy, fix-it, happily ever after sorta fluff. No idea if there’s an audience for that or not but definitely considering posting it once I clean it up (if it sounds interesting and if you’d be interested in beta-reading, if that’s a thing still, in advance for a kinda anxious first time fic writer let know 😅)
