Landonis Balthazar “Lando” Calrissian: Smuggler, gambler, robot-fucker, administrator, rebel, and whatever else he felt like being along the way, you all already know who Lando Calrissian is. What you may not know, if you’re not in the trenches as a star wars fan, is that he’s canonically pan. But, truly, can any among you that might be learning this for the first time say that you’re surprised?

Vel Sartha: Mon Mothma’s cousin and early rebel agent, the greater rebellion may never have gotten off the ground without the heist Vel led on Aldhani. Vel is, in my eyes, a study in the tension between belief in and passion for a cause greater than yourself and a desire for a life of your own. It’s a theme that comes up in Andor a lot, including with her partner in crime and… other things, Cinta. I hope we get to see where Vel ended up, one day. I hope she survived the war, because her story becoming one about what you do when you’re one of the only survivors of your heroic deeds, the way it kind of started to near the end of Andor, would be so interesting.

Lula Mrala-Talisola: Introduced to us as Jedi padawan Lula Talisola, this girl wanted nothing so much as to become a Jedi knight and then carve her name into history as the greatest of her time. No self-imposed pressure, or anything. Things took a turn when, on her travels with her class of friends and fellow padawans, they encountered the elders of the path, a faith group believing that to use the force was perverse, and that force sensitivity itself made one an abomination. Within that group was a girl named Zeen Mrala, a girl that had spent her entire life hiding the fact that she was force sensitive. The story from there is long and takes many twists and turns, but the names may give away where it leads.

Saché: One of the handmaidens to Padmé Amidala during her tenure as queen of Naboo, Saché was one of the two of the group, along with Yané, to stay behind and work with the local resistance while the queen fled with Qui-Gon Jinn to petition the Senate for aid. Captured and tortured during that time, she was left badly scarred but remained unbroken, refusing to give up any intel on the royal security force. Later on, after Padmé’s time as queen came to an end, she sat on Naboo’s planetary legislature, and eventually married Yané.
