A year later
So you know those posts on tumblr that are really motivating? The ones that make you proud because people got their shit together and overcame their own obstacles? Those positive posts that make you feel that you too can do anything? This is not one of them.Β
In 2012, a friend and I embarked on a clean eating journey. For about one year, we planned, we cooked, we blogged, we shared food, we exercised, and we lost weight. I felt in control of my life, I felt comfortable in my own skin, and I felt confident. Β Flash forward a year and although some major exciting things have happen in my life (new dream job, new dream house), I am not letting myself enjoy it because I've let myself go. My priorities shifted in that year and my health was put on the back burner. So how do I shift all of my priorities to put myself back near the top?
My dear husband keeps telling me to go back to what worked, go back to blogging, go back to weight watchers, go back to strategy sessions with my friend. Although that's not as easy with a full time job, I've got to figure out how to make it work. Any suggestions?
When everything doesn't seem to be working, try something else. Why not pay someone $11 a week to shame me into being accountable?
