the language around masculinity is so unnecessarily fraught and has really muddied the waters when it comes to a transgender gender reveal, for instance:
“i’m not a woman anymore” = i am a trans man
“i’m not a man anymore” = i have disgraced myself upon the field of battle
“i’m a woman now” = i am a trans woman
“i’m a man now” = i have had a bar mitzvah or possibly completed my first lord of the rings extended edition marathon
