Most people think gender looks like this:
They see it as a binary; with only one option of it that you have to (according to them) fit into.
Some others, a bit more open-minded (or so they think), see it as such:
2 main options, with a middle one to please "everyone". If you don't fit into the binary, then you must be that third... thing. Because they won't dare to call it a gender.
But the truth is, this doesn't please anyone except them. No one wants to be "the compromise". Just as much as bisexuals aren't "the compromise" between heterosexuality and homosexuality.
In reality, gender looks more like this.
A blank canvas.
And it's up to you to fill it.
With what you feel. Or maybe you'll leave it white. Maybe yours is meant to stay blank. Maybe it'll have multiple colors. A few hues of your own making.
And maybe it'll form a beautiful gradient. Maybe it'll change with time, or depending on the day. Maybe you don't care about that canvas, you may even call it boring.
But no matter what it looks like, it's yours only.
