A short comic/poem inspired by @hulk-janitor 's beautiful Bloodymary fic It's Worth It.

Sure, it wasn’t a moon— it was the last remnants of a star, whittled down to moon-size with with the metamorphosized final lifestage of astrophage wrapped around it.

I really love how it brought the two universes together. It's also quite sad from the star's perspective... But I guess we can never know what a star thinks of its own death.

I tell this story all the time but I'll tell it again! When I taught kindergarten full time, we had a working bee one weekend where we did a bunch of gardening/landscaping in the outdoor area. One of the dads put up a bit of fencing, then stood back and had a look, kind of frowning like he wasn't sure. His wife then came along, and the following conversation ensued:

Wife: GETMO? Husband: (after a moment, with a sigh) Yeah, GETMO. Me: GETMO? Wife and husband, in perfect unison: Good Enough To Move On

Something I do find lovely about the first 4 Murderbot Diaries books (can’t yet speak on all of them) is:

Murderbot chronically finding new scientists/travellers to claim as “clients” (whether paid or not) like one of those sheepless herding dogs that goes around finding sheep (or anything else they can herd like a flock of sheep). Like it clearly has a protect humans instinct and a desperate need for enrichment.

Given its general lack of self awareness and unreliable narrator status, there’s no way in hell Murderbot is aware it’s doing this.

i just finished the entirety of It's Worth It in literally one day, it is currently 6:07 AM (lol) and I still haven't slept and I don't know how to just- go about? Normal life???? This is genuinely like my favorite bloody Mary fic I've ever read and I cannot believe it's over

(also a side effect of reading chapters 28-35 at literally 3:00 a.m. when my house is entirely pitch black, is that I totally started seeing things out of the corner of my eye, which is the most horrifying experience of my entire life and actually gave me a panic attack from your writing LMAO)

Okay, I think I can stop ranting now and I should probably go to sleep, but like this is genuinely such a good fic and I don't even know what to do anymore, and I'm mad at myself because I can never read this for the first time again 😭

Just finished the last chapter of It's Worth It by @hulk-janitor and wowowow i am in tears😭 I loved this fic SO SO much and already re-reading it to pick out my favourite scenes to draw fanart for!!

First one that comes to mind is when Rocky and Simon have their puppet show when he's still in recovery, second is the SNEEZE SCENE!! Third is the airlock mishap, fourth is trauma of simon eith The Father, fifth is th- oh fuckit i might have to illustrate this WHOLE thing it was SO GOOD!!

Absolute biggest props and Kudos to you Hulk, i had so much fun reading this, truly touched my soul <3
