Hooktown is a book that I'm writing (my first). It's about a river village with a fishy mystery, a noble family with secrets, and a romance that goes boy meets boy, boy hates boy, boy falls anyway, all while they are stuck solving the mystery together whether they like it or not.

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 Tone check?

Gothic meets gay, with dark humor, a meta narrator, and third-person storytelling. I’ve been inspired by Tim Burton and Lemony Snicket since I was very little, so, think of their love child?

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 Is it adult themed?

Yes, because there will be smut in this. Gay, beautiful smut. Or perhaps I will tease fluff for this book and if there’s a second… hmm. Still deciding whether it’ll be explicit or a little more “tastefully covered"... either way, it’s not a bedtime story.
