im sorry but some of y’all are like “if u say x character is bi instead of gay i can’t stand you” and bi ppl will be like “oh im sorry they’re canon gay? my bad” and you go “if u read the subtext and between the lines and listen to my own intuition u would’ve known they were gay” and it’s like lmao shut up.
someone having relationships with the same gender, even if they don’t have a relationship w the opposite gender or it wasn’t a healthy relationship, doesn’t suddenly mean they can’t be bi? just in the same way that just bc someone dated the opposite gender in the past doesn’t automatically mean they can’t be gay/lesbian.
unless a character has an explicitly stated sexuality (ill even accept outside interviews by the creators) then ppl can say they’re whatever sexuality they want lmao. getting pissy because you don’t want to have to relate to a bisexual character is still biphobic. bi ppl can date just one gender. bi ppl can and do suffer from internalized homophobia/biphobia. neither of those are reasons to exclude the possibility of bi rep just bc u decided those were gay/lesbian exclusive experiences.
