The US Government is currently trying to pass an incredibly dangerous national law for trans youth called HR 2616.

This bill would ban all Federally funded schools from teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation, prevent teachers from using the correct pronouns and names for trans students, remove books with any trans representation in them, and even go as far as to prevent teachers from acknowledging trans identity AT ALL.

Any school that does not follow this will lose all federal funding. This bill would also require teachers to forcibly out trans students to their families, which would be fatal to any trans student with a transphobic Family or just hateful family in general. Trans people are already a group that already has some of the highest rates of being victim to suicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

This bill actively makes teachers put those innocent children at such a big risk. This bill has rapidly passed the house this week with support from all 209 republicans, as well as 8 democrats. But, it's still being voted on in the senate, which means there is still time to help stop this.

To help stop this, you can visit 5calls.org (look up 2616 in the search bar), one of the most top issues filed Oppose Attacks on LGBTQ+ Students. Once you put in your general location, it will pull-up contact information for your senator, and give you a script for calling them.

If you are a minor and/or do not feel comfortable doing this, PLEASE repost this on here, or any other platform you are on/can find! This needs to be heard and fought against.

Seems y'all can use some tips on what to do when it comes to content creator actions and the fandom! (These are largely my opinion based off my own experiences in the mcyt fandom, if you disagree that's okay, my page may not be for you<3 I don't want to see any harassment of anyone anywhere near any of my shit.) GOLDEN FUCKING RULE!!! HARASSMENT GETS YOU NOWHERE!!! IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT OR DON'T AGREE THEN SCROLL OR USE THE BLOCK BUTTON!!! (as long as it isn't Illegal... Then maybe report that-)

#1 Content creators are actors/writers Just like an actor in a movie, or the writer of a piece of media, they play and make characters. THAT ARE OTHER THAN THEMSELVES!!! After the piece of media is made just like any fandom those character are usually taken by the fandom into their grubby little palms to do whatever they want with! It's just the way of the internet, and honestly how fan creations have existed for years. #2 If a creator has boundaries, do not tag them or use tags that have direct connection their content creation persona when posting about characters If you're talking about the character, use the character tags not the tags of the creator themselves. Don't tag usernames, use the character tags such as the ones with the series name in from of it or the Series Initial!insert character here. Beyond that there is only so much separation you can do.

#3 Cancelled creator? Your character now! Did the creator of your favorite character get cancelled? Welp that looks like the price of that character just went down to free 99 my friend! Normalize taking characters from people who don't deserve them! Take it as a chance to have complete freedom with your head canons or lore rewrites if you haven't already!

#4 A03 is an archive for a reason Even if you choose to not personally write for that character/ship/fandom anymore, please don't delete works. This is more of a personal gripe but orphaning a work is so much better than deleting them. It just sucks to have so much lost media</3

Pearl was the first POV of Vampires that I found and her POV is genuinely so underrated.

She’s a monster hunter that watched her entire family get turned into “monsters”. She came to Oakhurst looking for a home, meaning that we can infer that she lost what family that she had left.

Let me repeat, she is a monster hunter but chose mercy. She is so sick of how cruel people are to each other to the point of just being tired by the end of the series. She’s watched vampires tear apart vampires, humans tear apart humans, and vampires tear apart humans.

Pearl, as a character, understands that it is not what a creature is that defines if they are good or not. She knows humans are cruel, she knows they hurt people, hurt each other, and still. She is a monster hunter because if no one is going to be kind to their fellow man she will be

And that’s what strikes me as even more impactful with the end of Vampires, she didn’t kill Scott because she was tired, and that mercy led to the best possible outcome for the citizens of Oakhurst

She’s lost her family, both in a physical and mental way. She comes to Oakhurst looking for a home, she is open and kind to everyone, and by the end she’s tired
