Did Tumblr get word that Félix's apology canonically happened off screen or do I have to be the one to do it again.
I'm going to milk the shit out of that quote. It's funny how his apology is now relegated to the same camp as Alya's apology and Audrey and André's divorce: Off-screen and never worth touching on again. Why does he do this? What does he gain? Does this make you feel smart, Tommy?
He is apparently unable write any sort of satisfying payoff to a narrative arc, so he just skips it. I mean, considering the attempted payoffs we get, maybe this is for the best.
Felix: I did what I had to.
Marinette:ah yes, clearly. I should have known you were in danger. It's my fault. I'm so sorry. Everything you did was justified.
Kagami:Yes, it is as I said, he just does not know how to communicate.
Felix:I'm glad we got that sorted. Now, I need to go make out with my cool azn sentigirlfriend.
Adrien:*coming from the mansion* Hey, anyone know where the Mountain Dew is?
(end scene)
Can't wait for the identity reveal and Hawk Moth 2's takedown to happen off screen 👍
I have a pitch for a new children's television show. The main character is a cool, kind, 10 year old kid who gains superpowers :D She uses her powers to help save people and go on cool adventures! Then all the adults in her life find out about her powers and all the danger she's putting herself into and they forbid her from using them because it's too dangerous and they take matters into their own hands by designing safer cities and writing new laws that will prevent all this danger from happening in the first place. And the main character is only allowed to use her powers sparingly for unimportant things, lest she get too dependent on them. Surely the target audience (real life ten year old children who spend every waking moment of their lives policed by adults) will love this
Also the main character comes to despise her superpowers after a while because of all the responsibility it puts on her. Can't have the target audience getting any ideas that having control over their own life and having the power to help people in need is something worth dreaming about
While I'm at it, fuck this frame in particular
I'm sorry but this was so insulting to watch as someone who grew up with a Gabriel Agreste-ish parent. "Adrien is finally free from his father's complete control! He immediately falls into a deep depression because actually he does depend on his father's rigid scheduling of his life or else he'll lose all sense of self and wither away" yup that's just the message I would've loved to see at age thirteen
"But Hamster, it's true that children and teenagers need some structure from an adult in order to thrive!" I'm aware bro I work with children with shitty irresponsible parents. You're preaching to the choir here. What I'm saying is that if that's the message they were going for, there were a million better ways they could've done it. Why was Adrien Agreste Depression Nest the best option. And why did so many of you eat this up. Preteen me would have flown into a sobbing rage if she'd seen this. "Don't even bother dreaming about an independent life, 13 year old Hamsternamedmarinette, you need your mother to dictate every little thing you do in order to maintain some semblance of happiness" please throw me off a bridge
While I'm at it, fuck this frame in particular

Hey does anyone else HAAAAAAATE HATE HATE HATE DESPISE DESPISE LOATHE the fact that this show in canon started acknowledging the fact that superhero duties are realistically too much for children to handle? Does anyone else trace this show's downfall to the moments it started doing that? Or just me haha
The tragedy of Marinette Dupain Cheng is that being ladybug is extremely bad for her precisely because she’s so good at it
Miraculous Ladybug is about what if you gave a girl with extreme anxiety the superhuman capability to actually prepare for every scenario of What Could Go Wrong

I love the idea that marinette has seen people die/a corpse and locked the fuck in but when shes also like deathly afraid of cartoon ass villains like vampires and zombies
had a dream that a new episode of ml came out and in it Adrien called Marinette “cutie” and i was sooo excited, because FINALLY we got a canon adrinette nickname!! he calls her “cutie”!!! but that was just the english dub, so of course i went to check the french dub, too, to see what the nickname was there. in the french dub he called her “donkey face”
Last week my Jamaican coworker was impressed that I knew about Anansi the Spider and I almost told her why I have that knowledge
Oh sure. When Alya Cesaire blogs about Ladybug and Cat Noir, she's "bright" and "ambitious" and "very talented at such a young age." But when I, an unemployed 22-year-old who lives in the real world,
My life right now is mirroring 2021/22 with none of the Miraculous fandom community
