Being a fandom veteran and having a fandom newbie try to tell you how you are wrong about everything and how they know more.

In fairness, both Jensen and M have said they got Jared to go to the PTB more than once and they enjoyed that aspect of not being #1. However, none of them, including #1 had creative control. A couple of examples being M didn’t want to do the whoopee cushion thing and Bob told him to get on with it. Neither wanted to do the trench coat scene and Bob told them to get on with it. They’ve been able to change very little. One of the few instances I remember is when Jared got the pictures of Dean removed from Castiel’s heaven (can’t remember why Castiel had a heaven in the first place but bad writing would have been in there as i guess he might have been human at the time), but that is minor set decoration, not show direction. Another example is when Jensen got the “I love you” removed from an episode and the writer agreed it was the right call.

Both have talked about this, people destiel fetishisers are just not listening. J2 talked about going into the writer’s room at the start of Season 15. They were expecting to brainstorm the season together with the writers. What they were given was a “take it or leave it” and instead of being angry at the arrogance of the “writers” to dare not include them in the discussions, the shippers/EDG instead blame Jared because of course they do. He was as powerless as Jensen in that meeting.

If actors are EPs then they have a little more control but both J2 said they never wanted that as they “trusted the writers”. However, Jared in particular after SPN has ensured he’s been an EP on his projects and I do believe that’s in response to what happened on SPN. Not sure about Countdown or VR for Jensen.

The entitlement from these "fans." Imagine saying with a straight face that Jensen is so "disgusted by homosexuality he can't fathom that being how romantic love between 2 men looks like???" When will these people understand that there was no dean/cas romance in the show? That at the most Dean ever only saw him as an ally? I can't imagine crying this hard over a 6 year ended show. LMAO

So let’s break that down a bit more.

There were 53 writers over the course of Supernatural. 3 writers accounts for just 5.6% of all the writers in the show who allegedly wrote Destiel as canon.

The three writers I believe wrote the following number of episodes (plus percentages):

65 = 19.8%

14 = 4.2%

2 = 0.6%

Total 81 = 24.7%

This means that 75.3% of episodes were written by writers who didn’t have a Destiel agenda and who haven’t confirmed that they were deliberately leaning into the ship for the fans.

Effectively you want me to believe people who had less then half writing credits on the show combined over the creator; and an actor who appeared in 100% of the episodes?

That’s absolutely not going to happen and proves how stupid hellers are when they use the ‘writers created it’ argument.

Time to face reality. They took advantage of you and have made you all look foolish.

Edit - I think it should also be mentioned that the two people who leave heavily into the ship to pander to Hellers (Misha Collins and Robert Behrens) have both had limited work since the end of Supernatural.

Not that they liked it or totes believed it should be canon, but were actively, intentionally trying to convey Dean and Castiel had a romantic relationship to the entire audience as a storyline. Because liking some random fan tweet is not that. Even Berens saying he wrote the confession to only be seen as romantic if he did (pathetic lie given the intentional ambiguity, but whatevs), would not actually be the same thing as writing the ship into the show as canon.

Any other writer saying they were writing it is terrible at their job and don’t care about the lgbtq+ community or representation. But I agree with you, from memory, the others were just liking some posts that unless people have screenshots, we can no longer see.

He could have had a relationship, he didn’t want it. He could have done anything. He didn’t want it. It really is that simple. When Dean was free to choose, he chose Sam (and vice versa btw as you always miss out Sam in this “happy ever after” fantasy, Sam could have gone back to college but he chose Dean).

What’s better than Sam? The being reanimating a corpse who betrayed them time and time again that Dean swings from wanting to kill to reluctantly forgiving because the person he loves the most asked him to?

British actor Anthony Head, best known for his roles in TV shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ted Lasso, Merlin and Little Britain, has died at the age of 72. Head found international fame as Rupert Giles in hit supernatural teen show Buffy in the late 1990s. He went on to have a recurring role in sketch show Little Britain, play king Uther Pendragon in the BBC's Merlin, and appear as former football club owner Rupert Mannion in Ted Lasso. "He passed away peacefully of complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family," his daughters Emily and Daisy said. His daughters' statement said "it is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our extraordinary father". They added: "It has been, and forever will be, an honour and a privilege to be his daughters, and to have witnessed firsthand the impact both he and his work have had on so many." They also said they knew "how dearly he will be missed by friends, colleagues and fans of the show he was in", adding that he "loved his job very much" and "always considered himself incredibly lucky". His family acknowledged that "his legacy will live on" and said they considered themselves "lucky" to have watched him doing what he loved throughout his career. Head's other credits included The Iron Lady, Persuasion, The Inbetweeners and Manchild.
