You and Sam have been together for a few months. You started going hunting with him and Dean. Much like Sam, you are a bit geeky when it comes to researching lore for different jobs. You two will sit together for hours and comb through different books, taking notes, and making jokes together. It feels effortless, loving him is effortless. Being around Sam is like an addiction, once you start, you don’t know how to stop. You never pictured this life for yourself. You were set off to have this amazing job after college. That all changed when the ghost of your dead ex-boyfriend, Elliot, started haunting you. He would follow you around, telling you how horrible you were to him when he was alive, trying to reframe the story so you believed you were the reason for his car accident. Deep down you knew you weren’t at fault, you tried to stop him from driving that night, you knew he had too much to drink. He’s the one who refused to listen to you, he’s the one who threw a glass bowl at you and stormed out. You felt like you were going insane, so insane that you tried to drown yourself. Sam and Dean were just passing through, having lunch at a local diner, when they saw you outside the window in the lake. You didn’t care about being discreet, you just wanted it over, and this was the only thing you could think of. Of course, Sam and Dean managed to talk you down. You were extremely hesitant to tell them what had pushed you this far, you didn’t want to seem derranged, but they convinced that they would believe you no matter what you said. You told them everything, and it only got worse from there. Elliot knew that Sam and Dean were going to try and get rid of him. That only made him angrier. He started getting violent, you were driving your car home from the lake and lost control of the wheel. There was screaming in your ear, deep and loud. All four windows smashed, and before you could register what was happening your car swerved into a tree. You immediately picked up your phone and called the number Dean gave you. You didn’t want to be alone after that. So the boys let you accompany them at the cemetary whilst they burned Elliots remains. Dean thought it was a bad idea to bring you along, but Sam thought it was worse to leave you alone when an angry spirit was after you. You’ve always been glad Sam one that argument, because that night, when they were digging up Elliots grave, you and Sam kept talking. It was like a flow of words and banter that required no thinking. You’d know him for all of four hours, but it felt like four years. Dean could tell that Sam was into you, like really into you, so they stayed in your town an extra week. By the time they had found a new job in another town, Sam was practically begging you to come with them. In hindsight, it wasn’t the smartest choice on your behalf to agree to it. You packed up your life in one duffle bag and skipped town with two boys you’d only known a week. If they were anyone else, a lot could’ve gone wrong, but for some strange reason you always felt safe around them. Not just because they saved your life, but because behind the hard shells they present to the world, they have a rare layer of softness that you’ve gotten to know. And now, you’ve been going town to town with them for 7 months. You and Sam have been dating for 6 of those months. You’ve never been the type of person to get quickly or easily attatched, but you did with Sam. You’ve gotten to know Dean like your own brother, he’s always treated you like he treats Sam, you feel as if you’ve found a family. A small family, but a family nonetheless. It may not be the life you planned, but it’s the life you love more than anything else. You get to witness the unexpected, move around the country, and live freely. With this job comes the anxiety of no stability, but at least you know that no matter what happens, you have Sam and Dean by your side.
