mildly interesting pnf fact of the day: before they came up with the name OWCA in s2 'summer belongs to you' the de facto name for perry's agency was SSSN, the super secret spy network. it only shows up in a few places in the show and never in dialogue - namely the human agents in perry's nightmare in 'p&f get busted' and apparently the tv station hosting the dr. feelbetter show in 'about time'

but it does show up in merch sometimes. also apparently in the 2012 pnf gogurt packets, which have a trivia question that claims perry works for the SSSN. presumably the asset packets they were using to create merch were out of date

I feel like a lot of folks who are only familiar with Phineas and Ferb via the memes get the impression that one of the show's central gags is about the titular characters gaslighting their sister, but that's not what's happening at all. They're generally 100% open about what they're doing, and lots of people know about it. Even their dad is frequently in the loop. It's the mom in particular who absolutely refuses to believe that anything unusual is going on, and while part of that is due to the evidence having a tendency to vanish right before she walks into the room, there's also a lot of refusal to entertain the possibility involved – heck, there are multiple episodes where the boys admit what they're doing to her face, and she just dismisses it as them doing a bit.

Basically, what's being sent up in the show is not "brothers gaslighting their sister", but "eldest daughter whose mother never believes her about anything, even when disbelief requires wilful blindness to what's happening right in front of her face". Which is still kind of a fucked up thing to be playing for laughs, of course, but you can see where some folks would find her worryingly relatable!

It's still kinda wild how Phineas and Ferb managed to completely hijack an idiom. Now whenever someone hears a sentence leading with "If I had a nickel for everytime [...]", odds are their brain auto fills with "I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice," rather than "I'd be rich," or "I could [action that requires purchasing something requiring an obscene amount of money]". Y'know, what the idiom originally was

what if the phineas and ferb caught perry when he was standing up but before he put on his fedora so since they dont know hes an agent they just assume he became sentient from one of the weird beams that keep going in their backyard and since they didnt find out about him being an agent he doesnlt get reasigned and he just walks around on two feet now and they give him coffee instead of water for breakfast
