I keep trying to answer this ask and tumblr keeps eating it sorry. I was never gonna like the tonal shift bc even putting aside the relative difficulty of pulling off the perpetrator-narrator, louis and i have similar tastes, and so i enjoy his narration and the overt preoccupation with the domestic wayyy more. But given that disadvantage, the first episode surprised me by being watchable and funny and plausibly thematically consistent! second episode i enjoyed far less… really bad wigs and the choice to do nondiegetic translation for the french dialogue but keep the accents is like . incomprehensible . But jacob anderson is the most talented and beautiful person in the entire world and louis is the most beautiful funny tragic kind interesting girl on tv
