It’s just really striking how much louis is expected to be so so kind and generous with his heart with his body with his time with his story. and his EMOTIONAL DISTANCE is always treated like an equal offense as cheating or gaslighting or exploitation as if any amount of coldness merits being physically beaten or coerced into sex like jesus christ

Obv i understand it as a starting point to get people to reevaluate the insane levels of propaganda around socialist countries but the rhetoric of “the u.s. has a cult of worship around its founding fathers too” or “israel is a rogue nuclear state too!” re north korea is so severely limited bc without any follow up / study of history / analysis of present conditions the conclusion will just be State power is bad 🙂 when in actuality that’s not even a real comparison at all bc the democratic people’s republic of korea is a socialist state founded by peasants and workers ( the vast majority of the populace) in the wake of decades of brutal colonization,under constant siege from imperialism, run by a party that represents the will of the constituents via the mechanism of democratic centralism which most westerners don’t even know exists . And the u.s. and the zionist entity are settler states founded on ethnic cleansing and chattel slavery and sustained through the exploitation and murder of the global majority. and liberal democratic states are actively hostile toward their own constituents . So it’s actually so insulting
