crazy how in every robron scene you can physically feel the palpable love and history between them more than ever before it really does feel so different to any other era of them . they’re so gentle and quiet with eachother

it's so unbelievably sad to me the only person who addresses or brings up that charity had debbie at age THIRTEEN and how young that is is charity herself. cain scares the would-be date rapist college kid off from debbie by saying she's only 13, and lisa says debbie's only a little girl even if she acts like she isn't--although obviously debbie isn't being sufficiently protected and cain himself sexualizes her, it's very obvious both in how she's treated and her physical appearance (constant pigtails!) how very young thirteen is. but everyone talks as if charity was in a bad place but essentially an adult like debbie is incredibly hurt by charity's assertion that it was a complicated situation (understandable bc again she's a kid); cain is constantly invoking that time as a romance even though charity very clearly does not see it that way; chris says we wouldn't be here if you'd kept your legs shut. zero acknowledgment of how traumatic that situation is--not just bc of all the factors that still hold true now that they're adults ie cain being a piece of shit, but also inherently, because she was a child! it's charity who says "i was a baby and you didn't help me!" and nobody will listen to her :(((
