i don’t get horror movies, why doesn’t the protagonist just act in a way which will prevent a story from being told or piece of entertaining media made

people should be allowed to have low ambition, and also be able to feed a family on the salary of a cashier at a convenience store.

if a job of some kind is necessary -and though it’s not like being, say, a garbage man, it makes sense for clerks of some kind to continue to exist- then the person doing that job shouldn’t make poverty wages. the idea that some jobs are just worth underpaying in general is wrong, because it creates a chronically mistreated and undervalued group of people who are nonetheless keeping society functioning with their work.

I've talked about it before (and will talk about it again) but it really is so funny that throughout the twewy series there is a character that is obsessed with consuming eldritch abominations so he can gain enough power to go kill god and take his place. And in both games this is like. A barely important subplot.
