I was really looking forward to the end of April so I could go back to my fun little fic writing again, but the death of a family member really set me back. I just ground to a complete halt. This entire month I really haven’t done anything creatively fulfilling. I didn’t read for fun. I didn’t really watch any shows or movies. I did homework. Went to my job and came home and just kept myself busy. I’ve been feeling kind of listless and off which is normal, I suppose, but wow grief is exhausting.

My last major assignment is due this Wednesday and maybe I can slowly work back up to doing things for fun until my summer course begins. I do have hope. I don’t feel as low as before. Life is a constant ebb and flow of good times and bad, and I am much better at faring those waves, but a small part of me is always a little impatient with myself. Especially because this family member died so young, so I felt a little frantic like, “Start enjoying life now!!!”
