I am begging people to understand that it isn't just earnest joy that gets called cringe it's earnest emotion in general and you are in fact participating in cringe culture when you make fun of earnest expressions of pain for being "edgy"

the rule of tumblr is that all your most insightful commentary must be buried under a mandatory "This is What You stupid fucking people Don't Fucking Get" just make it as hostile and offputting as possible. really aim to make people unsafe, cause we all know that's when people are most likely to listen

also why are ppl in the notes acting like “you’re a stupid fucking idiot if you don’t know this” and coddling are the only options of tone out there. yeah you shouldn’t coddle literally everyone ever but insulting people for not magically knowing every issue ever is also not very productive either.

Sometimes a person just needs a question to be answered. Being hostile and coddling often have the same result for these people, that result being making them feel like an idiot, and nobody wants that. If somebody asks you a question that you think is simple or stupid, maybe just try giving them the benefit of the doubt, and answer the question.

I want random people to salute garbage collectors and thank them for their service.
