this seemed to distress them, sensitive valiant creatures that they are. so they insisted i wait. for. an. (standing for two minutes in a scan is not the same thing as standing/walking for HOURS across a huge ass airport??)

and then when the long-awaited fondler arrived--heralded in legendary lore akin to the whispers passed from generation to generation of the some-day-second-coming of King Arthur--the first thing they said to me was, "i'm going to need you to stand up."

And I can tell you that training is three entire weeks and 90% of that involves how to spot stuff on an xray. They are literally just monkeys trying to do their best just like the rest of us.

Because, y'know, that's what this post was about: disabled and trans folks being required to subject themselves to intimate touching from a stranger in public, when the 'in public' part is often chosen over a private room because at least that way you have witnesses against the TSA groper inspector going even further when they have you in a vulnerable position.

Of course Batman can't stand by and leave a family to go through what he did so he jumps down into the alleyway when he spots a man, woman, and child being held at gun point. So THEN the man, woman, "child", and guy that was holding them all at gun point reveal that they're goons and proceed to beat Batman up. And when he's laying there weak and bloody Alfred comes out, takes a dollar out of his pocket, and goes "everyone has a vulnerability, yes?"

And then he walks Batman home! Meanwhile Bruce's internal monologue while he's being beaten up is literally "[about the rogues] Which one? Which one is sick enough to use my parents' murder to--? --Oh. No. It couldn't be..."

"Sir it's been a long night. Let me draw you a hot ba--" "Let's draw you that hot bath, shall we?"
