I've been an adult hanging out with other adults in fandom spaces for so long that I have the opposite problem of the 19-year-olds in fandom who are like, 'You're 31 and STILL in fandom?? Why are you here, shouldn't you be DEAD??' Which is to say I assume everyone in fandom is at least 25, but probably over 30, and then someone does something that strikes me as weirdly immature, and I think, 'Wtf, that's a weird attitude for an adult': and then I find out they are not, in fact, an adult, and I realise I forgot about teenagers again.
