Profoundly unserious, yet strangely majestic. Much like us all.......
please tell me I can have one as a pet
No, you cannot. Not only is it highly illegal, but keeping wild animals in captivity as an individual is incredibly unethical and can permanently harm them & their native range.
Not only has poaching and trafficking (which yes, keeping wild animals as 'pets" is!) heavily influenced by social media and has become significantly worse with the rise of social media creators and owl, otter, and other unethically kept animals being kept in 'cafes' for people to pet them and interact with them.
In addition, creators who interact with animals at rehabs or education centers they work with like they are pets have harmed the centers trying to combat this. I have had people actively try and climb into enclosures to pet our educational, nonreleasable fox or coyote, and have nearly gotten themselves bit due to it.
Moreso, the 'exotic' 'pet' trade has actively harmed many species and even made them severely more endangered. After habitat loss, illegal trafficking is the second highest threat to many endangered species.
I understand that your opinion might feel harmless and that you are young, but it's important to realize that this kind of sentiment is what drives people illegally keeping pets all over the world. Appreciate wildlife in zoos, appreciate wildlife in education and rehab centers, but don't go at wildlife with the sentiment "it'd make such a cute pet!!" Just appreciate them on their own as wild animals.
