(Regulus didn't start off as messy but as he rebelled more and more he got messier

Barty gives no fucks and will do everything to disappoint his father

Regulus did try to ignore the sound but he had to stop when James suddenly took his hands from Regulus’s waist and hid them behind his back.

“James what’s happening” Regulus looked behind James’s broad shoulders.

“Nothing” James answered shaking his head accompanied with the same annoying beeping sound.

Regulus raised his eyebrow and with one swift motion grabbed James’s arm. James looked at him defeated and quickly put his hand in front.

“It’s my watch, okay?” he answered looking a little embarrassed, “the sound is to let me know when my heart rate is too elevated when I work out” he continued red creeping up his cheeks.

“The heart rate..” Regulus mumbled while examining the watch on James’s wrist, playful smirk appearing in the place of his pursed lips full of confusion.

He quickly pecked James’s lips, slowly moved from his lips to his jaw, while glancing at the watch on his wrist start with the sound of beeping again.

Look of embarrassment, torture and excessive blushing were covering James’s face when Regulus looked at him and giggled. His giggle turned into a full blown, head thrown, beautiful laugh as the sound of the beeping from the watch became so loud and so quick it could surely be heard from down the hall.

James, his watch and his heartbeat were in serious trouble surrounded by the most beautiful sounds of Reggie’s laugh.

Regulus: the unstoppable marching of time that is guiding us toward inevitable death

"Password?" the tall Gryffindor Beater smirked down at Regulus, raising one eyebrow, leaning in front of the entrance to the locker room.

"Hmmm....fuck off?" he said sarcastically, trying to push his way through. But the boy wouldn't budge.

"Like I'll let a Snake into the room ten minutes before the game! I'm sure you're coming to sabotage us," he accused, eyes narrowed.

"You're going against Ravenclaw, you idiot," Regulus drawled, again elbowing him.

"Then why do you want to come in, hmm?" the other challenged, like he'd caught Regulus in a great lie.

But Regulus was about done with this. He sighed and glared at him furiously. "To give your Captain a good-luck snog. And maybe a bit more if you don't take up all our bloody time!"

Shocked, the Beater slumped aside, gaping. "What?"

see he’s actually not real!! so i can keep a version of him in my head that is the exact same but not a blood supremacist! this works because regulus is a fictional character and thus, he can be whatever!

"Listen," Sirius says, looking back and forth between Regulus and James like he still can't believe he's not having a very bad dream, "I'm not saying I'm mad-"

"You look mad," Regulus grumbles, but James elbows him lightly in the ribs.

"-I just don't get it!" Sirius finished, eyes wild. "I mean-don't you two hate each other?"

James ponders this from his spot on the bed next to Regulus, still holding the blanket safely over his bare abdomen. "I mean...no?" he says, looking over to Regulus, who looks like he's trying not to smile.

It's true that they argue. Regulus seems to find James irritating like no other, and James kind of likes to make that little frown appear on Regulus's face. He's not sure why.

"It's his fault," James murmurs petulantly, looking down and blushing a bit. But this is quite the wrong thing to say.

"My fault?" Regulus argues suddenly, turning toward him. "You kissed me!"

"Yeah, but you were yelling!" James retorts, not thinking about his words. "You were saying all sorts of mean things and I just- I just-"

"Kissed him?" Sirius supplies, looking like he can't work out whether to be disgusted or to laugh. "Mate, most people don't get worked up when someone yells, you know."

This only makes James blush more. "But he looks so pretty when he yells," he whispers longingly, pictures of ice-gray eyes and dark hair flying searing through his brain, knowing he's sealed his fate.

Regulus snorts and pinches James's thigh, making him gasp while Sirius makes a choking noise and takes several silent moments before taking a deep breath. "No- you know what? This makes a lot more sense than I thought. Ugh, just- use protection, alright? Gods..." And he leaves, still muttering as he walks out and shuts the door.

But as they are left alone, Regulus turns to James, a satisfied smirk set on his stunning features. "Pretty when I yell, huh?" he asks slyly, slowly moving to straddle James.
