So like theyāre both in their junior year of high school right and itās election seasonĀ

The only explanation is that obvi after reuniting with Eddie at the Orient, Richie acted like an actual middle schooler with a crush and started looking up Eddie online and trying to avoid liking his old 40+ week posts these are facts
Up til now I just assumed they had been talking about their lives offscreen, but I like this explanation a lot, bc it seems like such a Richie thing to do.
If they did talk about their lives offscreen, I personally donāt see Eddie as being the type to bring up her weight.
