Need to know which Lost writer had some kind of piano related trauma cause the whole “child wants to play piano but parent disapproves” thing comes up like four times

of all lost characters penny might be the one I'm most willing to lie to myself about. sometimes I'll see posts talking about how her writing is very flat/she's just not interesting and I experience about 4 seconds of blind rage before I remember that the writers themselves simply were not interested in her as her own character beyond Love Interest and it actually is not invalid to find her a very flat/one-note character. but I will continue to make shit up about her anyways

forgot until just now that when i went to the grocery store today i turned down the oil/vinegar aisle and there was a store employee stocking the shelf and he said "welcome to the land of wonders" to me for some reason

i feel like nobody has NOTPs anymore. like if you hate a ship now it has to be for some deep moral reason and you have to justify it to everyone what happened to just not liking stuff that isnt inherently bad but just because you personally think it sucks

Desmond and Penny could have and probably would have been the best couple on the show if the writers had bothered to give Penny a personality, a backstory, and a life besides her love interest.
