“AI can help fix the climate crisis, cure cancer and abolish world hunger!” Ok go do that instead of stealing art.

AI can do these things (and is! Protein folding is incredible, machine learning is doing fantastic things with public transport planning, etc) but a) you have to go looking for these things, they aren't everywhere like stolen art is and b) they do need human intervention to enact them. AI could come up with the best, most functional and efficient public transport network in the world that connected the whole of the USA, and it still wouldn't get built.
