Always COMMENT on every attack you receive ! It doesnt have to be a big wall of text for as long as you thank whoever draws for you, it's the bear minimum :] (note: if an attack is malicious just report and block)

don’t only attack bigger artists with the expectation of getting free art from them, there are a lot of smaller artists who are way more likely to revenge you. scroll through the recently posted characters until you see one you like! check the #target-hunting channel (seriously, the target hunting channel is your best friend). if you check the pinned messages in the target hunting channel there’s a spreadsheet for advertising first-year art fighters or people with low defenses!

of course you should not expect to get a revenge from everyone, this is an art GIFTING game. no one owes you a revenge, and you shouldn’t fixate too much on defenses. but i see people complaining about getting no defenses every year so i just figured i’d share some tips for people who struggle to get their stuff out there :P

if you are against censorship, it means you understand that the things you personally hate and find disgusting have the same rights to exist as the things that you love. it means you understood any censorship is a fascist tool meant to control people with lesser power. it means you understand censorship can start at the things that you hate, before it eventually comes for the things that you love, as well as your own rights.

censorship will never stop at one thing. once you allow it to happen, you already give people in power the ability to take away your own rights and freedom.

personal information <— not something anyone should be sharing on the internet to begin with. but if a person insists on blasting their own passwords or social security number online, then I guess at that point it’s natural selection

hate, violence, child porn (yes, it’s called porn, not c0rn. what the fuck is c0rn) <— define “hate and violence and child porn”, because as long as no real child, person or animal is harmed, then that content has the rights to exist. do I hate fanfic that involves minor characters being sexually assaulted? yes. do I think it should be banned? no. because you cannot ban one thing you personally hate and expect censorship to end at that thing you personally hate. your personal comfort is not a universal rule and that is not how censorship works. you’re naive to think it is.
