"Cleanup"

Disclaimer: this is not all the guys I have related to this story, but we're just gonna start out with these few. I've always been really shy about sharing details about my ocs so I'm just gonna jump right in with these :] Please please please ask questions if you'd like, I'd love to share more!

NEON

ST-S-009 ("Neon") is a test subject born and raised in Starfall Laboratories. She is a part of the Sense Unit, a line of subjects used to push how far the limits of the human senses can go; consequently, Neon is the only subject in the unit who has not yet died.

Sick of the Lab's inhumane conditions and unethical treatment of its subjects, Neon longs for a life outside the concrete walls. With the help of Fiver, a member of the Regeneration Unit, Neon is able to escape her prison into a sprawling, labyrinthine city of a dystopian future. Headstrong and generally aloof, Neon is driven by a desire to seek revenge on the system that abused her while attempting to save others from the same fate. She has little sympathy for those in power, but feels kinship towards (and puts an almost naive amount of trust in) those on her level. Neon struggles with adapting to the changes of the outside world (something that draws her to Theseus), and she often acts selfishly without thought.

THESEUS

Having been cryogenically frozen and released in an undisclosed future year, Theseus suffers a case of complete amnesia. Despite this, he is miraculously laid back, and with nothing to tie him down that he's aware of, roams wherever he sees fit. His mannerisms and clothing are peculiar and outdated, as is the strange device he keeps strung around his neck that he was frozen with. Theseus struggles with his own sense of self and the prospect of having to build an entirely new identity from scratch. He's very go-with-the-flow because he doesn't try particularly hard to differentiate himself from those around him. He is agreeable by necessity— with no place to call home and no self to return to, Theseus is rarely one to say no. As far as he's concerned, he doesn't exist outside the context of others.

CARMINE

Son of the owners of Reactory Labs (a sister branch to Starfall) and heir to the family business, Carmine Jody Sinclair works as the highest ranking supervisor in Testing and Introductory Administration. Unaware that his mother, Andromeda, cares little for him, Carmine is rude, proud, and somewhat arrogant from privilege. He has a flat disposition and poor people skills outside of a professional setting. While he is generally cold, he has mutual respect for his twin sister, Melora, and a soft spot for his younger sister, Adelaide. Though he claims to wear a numbered tag as a show of good will and dominance towards the subjects he intakes, he is a test subject himself; Carmine's mother conducts invasive tests and surgeries on him under the radar without his knowledge. Carmine struggles with stepping out of his comfort zone and opening his eyes to the truth. He has an extremely warped perception of the world due to a sheltered and neglectful upbringing. He will do anything to rationalize his way out of being in the wrong.
