Idk whether to blame midsommar or general ignorance but, coming from a culture that celebrates midsummer and incorporates long skirts, linen, and flower crowns into national dress, and whose traditions on the solstice involve bonfire and singing, its really frustrating to see footage and depictions and videos of midsummer celebrations being commented on like "ohhoo what cult is this? Are they going to sacrifice me?" thats another person's culture and holidays im going to hit you with sticks
