The boys and Eddie devise a plan, for Eddie to go into scoops ahoy and somehow try to really embarrass Steve as a way of getting back at him on behalf of all the freaks, calling out all that Steve and his stupid posse stood for.

They spent hours while they were hanging out laughing and throwing around different ideas of what he could do to make Harrington make a fool of himself, maybe Eddie would leave a massive spill for him to have to clean up, or keep getting him to give Eddie a taste of flavour after flavour just to see how long it would take for him to break.

He was so ready. This was going to be so good! He couldn’t wait to rub it in Steve Harringtons face that - outside of high school? He was just another dude. Welcome to the real world, asshole.

The next day…

Gareth: So Ed’s how did the plan go? Was he as gloriously embarrassing as he sounded? Did he lose his shit at you for being a prick??

Eddie: Oh, well um… about that.

Gareth: ??

Jeff:

Gareth: What man?? What happened?

Eddie: …

Jeff: Eddie.

Eddie: Well I um- I did go! I really did, but I also just… left. Like right after.

Gareth: The fuck??

Freak: I thought we had a Plan??

Jeff: Did he do something to you?

Eddie: I know, I know. And No! No definitely- he didn’t do anything. I just couldn’t do it! Sorry guys…

Jeff:

sleep apnea is more common in people who are fat.

society decided for some reason that this meant that being fat causes sleep apnea. its often difficult to get referrals for sleep apnea treatment if you are fat, because some PCPs will tell you try losing weight first.

turns out!! having untreated sleep apnea causes weight gain in a not-insignificant number of people. it also makes it fucking impossible for many people to lose weight.

my husband worked out the same amount before he got a cpap as he does now. there have been no major diet changes either. yet he has been losing weight -- and gaining muscle tone -- consistently since he started using a cpap in january.

also, his blood pressure -- which was high, which docs blamed on his weight/diet -- went down significantly within one month of starting cpap treatment, before his weight changed significantly.

ANYWAYS. this is getting long. two final thoughts.
