I may just be stupid but in Visaggo's pitch the only coherent thing to me was trans women Kon (and obviously the most well known thing about this pitch). But the story building up to that point made NO sense(like I had to reread it multiple times to understand the story, and even then i'm not sure I got the vision).

If you want to read it, here it is , but to me I just feel like there is...a lot happening, that doesn't need to happen. Why does Kon have a secret brother? Why are we changing his origin again (what do we gain from a secret scientist from the future(?) that supposedly truly created him??? And again with the brother that I assume was created at the same time as Kon?

I feel like it doesn't make sense because to make this said brother exist. Kon is the 13th and last experiment of the Superman clones Cadmus was making, and impiled that all the other past clones failed in some shape or form. however now there is a brother existing with the exact dna as Kon and made by Cadmus? just? . So are we implying that one of twelve clones (not including Kon, as he is clone thirteen) lived? And retconing another aspect of Kon's origin for no reason?

Strangely this was claimed to be a new "simplified" version of his origin. Like ok i guess.

Also the whole "Superman dominant" and "Luthor dominant" thing. Yikes).

Why is he forgotten in the future, but not anybody else from the superfam, they are all very close-knit and it's strange that only one of them is lost to time (especially with the kind of tech established in the superman-mythos. Like in the very pitch it said the future people could identify they were from the house of el with tech. So why are we forgetting members)

Why is Kon living with Jinny Hex and not any of his more established friends (Example: literally Anyone from YJ'98. Now I will admit I only read like 2 issues of YJ'19, before dropping it (it was boring :[[), so maybe Jinny and Kon have some kinda close friendship in that. But to me at least it's still a super strange choice compared to choosing anyone from the '98 cast, as Kon knew them for way longer compared to Jinny).

ALSO HER NAME WOULD BE WENDY NOT CONSTANTINE/CONNIE. (Kon is a big nerd, she would 100% change her name to the main character of one of her favorite shows)

That uh pretty much a summary on my feelings of the Kon skyrocket pitch story wise. Back when I heard of this pitch last year or so I was actually really sad that we didn't get a trans Kon, then obviously as you can tell once I read it I thought the real story was doggy water. However trans Kon you are still real in my heart <3.

Now this would be my 3rd or so time reading this pitch (uh not counting all the times I had to go back and reread paragraphs). But saying that I seen this pitch multiple times and still get confused by it is probably not a good thing. That kinda why it sits in the back of my head(and as u can see I was thinking about it today). And in the end I'm glad dc rejected it because wowie.

And to top it off with Darick Robertson's art to go with the pitch...I'm sorry I don't like the design :[[. This is not a diss at Robertson's artstyle at all btw, I just feel Skyrocket's costume looks is strange?

Not to dwell on it too long like the story but below is my notes on why I think it looks off, plus my own small redesign of Skyrocket (I tried to keep the vibes the same).
