It's a bit frustrating to me that people call Solas controlling in the Solavellan relationship because he breaks up unilaterally with Lavellan because that's a right that everyone has, and should always have. Like, fundamentally, you have the right to end a relationship, romantic or otherwise, whenever you wish for whatever reason. That doesn't mean you can't feel sad someone did that, or angry if they do it for a reason you perceive as bad. But the second that isn't true, the relationship becomes coerced. He would have been controlling if he'd forcibly removed Lavellan's Vallaslin: he doesn't (you're perfect exactly the way you are my beloved). He would've been controlling if he'd refused to accept a breakup initiated by Lavellan: he doesn't, and indeed goes so far as to validate their choice, particularly in the Trespasser breakup. In no part of the relationship did he seek to control them, he merely makes his own choices as a (fictional) free willed individual.

Useless Veilguard fact of the day: Day 448
The notes you can find in Arlathan Forest during the The Magic of the Ancients quest show its connection to Cyrian and Anaris, with Bellara even calling Cyrian by name if she's in the party when you collect the Ripped Page note.
After finishing the quest by repairing an artifact, Rook and the party will see that it holds a dead body inside.
If Bellara is in the party and Anaris has been defeated, Bellara will put together the pieces and explain this must have been the site of a ritual meant to help Anaris gain a physical body in this world.
