btw I’m obsessed with the fact that when s2-6 buffy lets spike get away with calling her every sort of pet name, you can chalk it up to the fact that spike’s EvilTM and she’s being the Bigger Person/acting unimpressed, BUT THEN s7 rolls around and spike just continues to do that and she just continues to let him?? pet. love. he’s calling her lamb in the same scene as he saves the world and she confesses her love? literally she’s into being babygirled if it’s spike and spike only. the amount of credit you gotta have with a person for that to happen. i wanna see anyone else try that shit. i don’t care for the comics except s10/11 but one thing s8 got right is that anyone else giving her the “pet” treatment immediately gets loud, insistent, yucked-out complaints from her. literally she likes it when it’s spike. i feel unwell

I think one of the sexy things spuffy missed out on that some other villain/hero ships got (ie captain swan) is buffy turning evil AFTER spike has been redeemed and flipping the script that way. The only risk here is that evil!Buffy would be too sexy and Spike would just decide to be evil again too
