PLEASE HELP A TRANS WOMAN NOT BE FORCIBLY DETRANSITIONED
Hi, my name is Ashley
I am a 19-year-old trans woman. I have started HRT recently, however I am now unable to continue transitioning due to outside forces relating to my family.
Please help me continue with my transition by purchasing needles and syringes.

There's a phenomenon I think about a lot where because this userbase really does not care about music but really wants to signal their performative "politics" via their entertainment consumption. They want to talk up female musicians but they by and large don't listen to actual genius female musicians like Esperanza Spalding or Nina Simone or Janelle Monáe and so bold-facedly compare no-talent industry plant #37 favorably to titans of 20th century music like Prince or Michael Jackson
Which fucking idiot pop star do you wish hadnt ruined their career. Like which is the biggest loss for what could have been. in your opinion.
Grimes
Nicki Minaj
Katy Perry
Michael Jackson
Kanye West
Gwen Stefani
Azealia Banks
M.I.A.
Melanie Martinez
Chris Brown
Actually pretty fucked up that some of these people still have careers but you know what I mean.

Instead of crass and discriminatory "jokes", I prefer to get my chuckles from wholesome humor, such as: "my god, the scrimbly blumbo!" Hahahaha! Really, there's no need for slurs and put-downs when comedy like "skcrunklo bonglo bingo" is available! I am racist as fuck though,
Saw the news about Venezuela. Two back to back earthquakes, that's terrifying.
Powerful earthquakes struck western Venezuela, killing at least 32 people, injuring over 700, and prompting the government to declare a stat
can we please acknowledge that tma/tme is a meaningful distinction? a justice of the US supreme court is openly saying that it's legal to discriminate against trans women because the same laws do not target trans men. the transmisogyny is what makes it permissible. your transphobia is fine as long as it has carveouts for men.
Fascinating parallel here. This incapacity of the legal framework to protect groups who are at the intersection of two protected groups (trans women in this case, black women in the original) even while protecting both groups individually is Crenshaw's original reason for coining the word "intersectionality", which has since gone through the wringer.
things got pretty bad here idk what prompted this my partner is trying to turn it around and calm down his dad but right now my trans kids and me aren't safe here
i just want us to get out, of course our other 2 kids will come with me I just need money for a couple of taxis and a hotel room please
anything anything helps please

This one is still going around, id like people to know we're back home, not exactly safe, grandpa is still aggressive, we have to avoid leaving the kids alone with him, I also avoid being alone with him, it is specially difficult when we have so much to do like taking care of grandma, our kids, cleaning, looking for jobs, dealing with our chronic pain and chronic illnesses and not dying
We're trying to fundraise to afford water since we're going through a (hopefully brief) water shortage, also my healthcare and testosterone.
Help a trans mexican family afford taking a shower and flushing their toilet?
I LOST MY HEALTHCARE 😭
Can we get help affording water, my meds are now URGENT, and a haircut for our daughter? Her hair is still chopped from her grandpa being an asshole
We were able to afford water yesterday and the testosterone. We have enough left for the haircut, thank you.
Can I maybe ask for $35 so we can afford water today and maybe help affording my meds please?
I learned a very long time ago that I could post in English on the Anglo internet about my experience as a sexual minority in the #middleeastandnorthafrica region. I could vent about every slight or slur, every indiscretion, all the doors that might not have closed in my face had I not been who I am. But that all it would do is earn me a seat at a table half the world away, a seat that I would lose the second I said “but my people are still human. But we are Arab women before we are queer women. But we are muslim before we are trans women. But we are imperialised subjects of the periphery before we are bisexuals. But we are ‘combat-aged males’ before we are gay men and boys.” A seat that I could only keep if I show a willingness to betray my people. And I will not. I do not want it. The price is too steep and the value too low.
I have come to know now that this western voraciousness for our stories was never an impulse born out of empathy; it has always been little more than a gathering of intel, of reasons to hate us and to justify the destruction of our bodies and the pillaging of our lands and the looting of our resources. So I no longer see the utility in being one more primary source for the proverbial NYT opinion editorial manufacturing consent for the latest campaign of imperial slaughter in my backyard on account of our inherent backwardness.

also sorry i just don't find the trope of "woman who hates men learns to love men again because she met one really sweet dude" very compelling. at best i think it's boring and eye-rolling wish fulfillment for people who never got over their lesbian crush and at worst i think it's actively and purposefully misogynistic
ESPECIALLY when its meant to be "fluffy" like sorryyyyy i just don't think Woman Learns Her Place In Society is a very cutesy sweet trope

My basic thing is "If your definition of capitalism could also describe the economy of ancient Sumeria, then it's not a good definition"
What economy should a good definition of capitalism describe?
The economy Marx describes in his writing: Industrial revolution era Britain. Characterized by the decline of artisan labor and the rise of mechanization, and the proletarianization of both the peasantry and the artisans over time.
What makes that economy a good description of capitalism?
It distinguishes it from previous iterations of class society with different primary features and different contradictions. The whole point is that it is important to define capitalism as something specific and historically contingent instead of opining vaguely about some suprahistorical "politics of greed" or what-have-you. The world we live in now exists in the way it does because of a number of objective historical contingencies and circumstances that can be dated back to the industrial revolution and which, crucially, can't be chalked up to vague notions like "human nature"

How do you think an ancient Sumerian temple clerk would feel if I introduced them to Microsoft Excel
Elated, I imagine
how was ancient sumeria not capitalist
It didn't have any of the features that distinguish capitalism from previous iterations of class society. It was a class society, but not a capitalist one.
