situations may be small, but the principle holds all the weight

Glad to see my lifelong disinterest in golf is paying off
let me tell you about golf
i grew up in a little desert valley called Tucson, Arizona, where it only rains 2 inches a year on average. the majority of the city’s water is pumped from an underground aquifer, which took millions of years to fill. one of the biggest conservation efforts in our city was for water, naturally, and i spent a lot of time learning about low flow toilets and 5 minute showers. i learned that filling your sink basin and washing your dishes in that water is less costly than running the tap. i learned that it only takes 2 days without water on the desert for someone to die
the city was sinking as the aquifer drained. neighborhoods fell into flood zones that didnt exist 10 years ago
there’s a road called Golf Links in the city and it is lined with golf courses. miles of green grass where grass doesn’t grow, in a valley where it doesn’t rain. why? because the rich white retirees who moved there to stop the aching in their joints decided they should also get to play golf. meanwhile our public schools taught small children like me that taking long showers would kill the world
let the golf industry burn
There are 15,500+ golf courses in the United States alone.
Each one consumes ~312,000 gallons of water per day.
That consumption is equivalent to 55+ million humans per day in the United States… roughly 1/6 the entire population.
We simply cannot sustain this frivolity, especially for something 99% of us will never use.
Destroy golf courses and plant wild grasses and butterfly bushes in their place.
Don’t forget that you are human. It’s okay to have a meltdown, just don’t unpack and live there. Cry it out and then refocus on where you’re headed.

and that’s on who??? 👀
5 favorite restaurants in Los Angeles?
Malibu Farm!
I'm actually a huge fan of Malibu Farm! I love the location, I love the vibes and the sunny atmosphere, and the food is so nice. I've only been a few times but I've really enjoyed my experiences at Malibu Farm each and every time I've been and I've also had really sweet interactions with the staff and servers, I have very good memories and I plan to go back in the very near future. Venue is extremely important to me when I go out to restaurants and I absolutely am obsessed with how gorgeous the view of the Pacific is and how lovely the modern rustic interior design is.
Bavel!
Bavel serves some of the best Middle Eastern food I've ever had outside of the Middle East. I'm extremely fond of their Yemeni meals and they make a wonderful lamb dish that's just as delicious as the one my tribe in Saudi Arabia makes. I'm especially fond of Bavel because they serve Middle Eastern food, there's no Middle Eastern American fusion, they serve accurately prepared Middle Eastern food. I love to take my family here when we visit or meet up in LA and I love to try my hand at recreating their dishes, I'm always happy to bring my Middle Eastern friends and family to Bavel when we miss home because the food feels like home and it's beautiful.
Urth Caffé!
Urth is one of the nicest cafes I've ever been to and I try to visit the location in Pasadena as often as I possibly can. I'm in love with their organic blended green tea boba, it's one of my absolute favourites and I've never had a boba made so nicely, they also have a green tea blended boba with roses and another with a lovely dark chocolate and espresso garnish and they're both so nice. The food at Urth is good but I wouldn't consider it to be world class, Urth is a cafe and a cute little restaurant and so it feels like a pricier version of Starbucks but they serve proper sit down meals. The atmosphere is wonderful and completely unmatched and the Spanish inspired architecture is absolutely gorgeous, it's beyond nice to be able to sit and read a book or do work at Urth and just be in a place of peace within a restaurant.
The Anchor!
I love seafood, I always have. I prefer to have fresh seafood and I've found that The Anchor has some of the freshest seafood and best prepared meals in Los Angeles. I'm not just saying this because I love bottomless brunch, I love their oysters and I love their fish and chips. I'm a huge fan of a meal that's presented well and I love the interior and exterior of the Anchor, it's a beautiful restaurant with a very casual upper class vibe and I love how their bar has just recently started making much more interesting cocktails and opened up their sparkling wine and champagne menus a bit more. Their sides are also to die for, I'm obsessed with their current brunch menu.
Nobu Malibu!
Last but not least, trusty Nobu is on my list of favourites. I'm a huge fan of Nobu, I've been to so many of the Nobus currently open and I'm obsessed with their Yellowtail Jalapeño dish in particular. My night at Nobu doesn't end until I've had the Lobster Shiitake Salad with Spicy Lemon Dressing and ordered their Sweet and Sour Lobster. Each Nobu I've been to has a lovely variety of desserts but I always order the matcha mochis and their black orchid tea. Because Nobu tends to not really care about carding, I usually order from their cocktail menu and my favourites are their Casa Tokyo, their Sunset Spritzer, their Grapefruit on the Rocks, their Paloma Blanca, and their Yuzu Citrus Cooler. They also have a lovely menu of non-alcoholic drinks and they can make any of their specialty cocktails virgin.

Looking at nutrition for the skin in particular, we know that a diet with lots of plant-based foods is best for optimal skin health, as the skin is getting Vitamins A, C, E and K, zinc and polyphenols. If I had to pick out top research-backed foods, I’d suggest green tea, at least 70% dark chocolate, cabbage, sweet potato, avocado, walnuts, tomatoes, soy, oily fish and citrus fruits - Dr Megan Rossi

We have lost our grandma when I was 7-8 years old, Because of stroke. And I can't afford to lose him too 💔
All the donations will go for all of his maintenance, medications, and housing. My grandpa recently lost his home because of a truck was bumped in there.
If you could help a little or share this. I'm thanking you in advance ❤️
