I post primarily on IndieDB these days - I’m reaching a critical point in Cogs, the final stretch. I’m still looking for voice actors, too; if the release gets delayed, it will most likely be because of the difficulty finding voice actors who want to donate their time. 

I’m still shooting for fall at the latest - if things go as smoothly as I like (they never do) Summer is still a very real possibility.

Yo guys for those of you who don’t know I mostly update the IndieDB page right now! Has my turntables and such. :p I’m a little behind on here!

I’m not even close to being done with him, but I DID manage to fix up Ashes’ head today and start the texturing process in earnest. I’m going to probably have to gut his exoform and a few other geometric tweaks before I can actually finish him - I made a very big error (or three) messing with his bod. He’s the first one I ‘sculpted’ instead of making more methodically, and he was a huge learning experience. I spent a day and a half just trying to get one piece together - I assumed it’d be easy to just keep the outside of two merged pieces, but all that junk inside was hard as hell to get out and there’s still so much in there.

Smoking’s bad, kiddies.

I’ve manipulated UE4 into reopening my project by removing the file and readding it into the content folder at runtime. Bad part is I can’t close it without redoing the whole song and dance of removing and readding the file + reattaching the broken nodes, but other than that, phew! I’m in my project again! Huge relief!

While I wait for 4.17 to come out (and hopefully the bug fix) so I can edit my files again, I did some texturing for Coolette!

A glitch in Unreal Engine has made my file completely inaccessible! :) I cannot access my file! (: I want to scream! :)))))

Supposedly the glitch is going to be patched in 4.17 - I really, really hope so. I hate not having access to my work. It’s like a 24/7 anxiety attack. It’s the AI Perception component suddenly deciding that it has a circular dependency (it doesn’t) and preventing me from opening the whole thing. I haven’t even worked on the perception in weeks, it was done. The last thing I worked on was post-process materials. No reason for this nonsense.

Here’s hoping they actually do release the patch for it in 4.17.

Been spending most of the days with him, trading off with mother. Things are scary now, but at the very least he’s back with us emotionally and psychologically. He recognizes me now, which is excellent - the nerves in his throat are undamaged too, more good news. Regaining the movement back in his arms and legs will take a while. But! He does still feel all of them, so the likelihood of him actually regaining the movement is very high.

I’ve been doing a lot of sketch work in the meantime - I’ll drop them here when I get the chance.
