Liz smiled. ”You like music right? Do you write songs?”

"I never write them down. I just remember them."

”Uh nothing important really.. Just some boring random facts. Sometimes poems or just story’s.” Liz blushed, looking down. ”I-it’s rubish..”

"I like poems and stories."

"Some people just ain’t ready for it, bro."

"So I'm not ready for it?"

"I have to run into that maze where I could die any day. I do this to save all of us. I do this so I can get out of this hell and find out what the shuck happened to me before the damn maze. So instead of saving myself. Saving all of us. I should stop and listen to a song you wrote about unicorns or your mommy? Does that make any shuckin’ sense?"

He shrugs unsurely and tries a "No?" And then he adds, "Why are you so angry, Ken? It's just a song. But if it makes you so angry, I won't sing."

”Oh, yeah that’s mine. C-can you please give it back to me?” Liz said, her cheeks blushing.

He hands it to her. "Do you write in it? What do you write in it?"

"Don’t pick at them, you won’t heal properly!"

He stops and lowers his arm. "Okay." He sits very still and then whispers as if the bandages can hear him, "I can't stop thinking about it.

"Just looking." He picks up an object. "What's this?"

"Sorry, dude. Can’t have you stealin’ my thunder."

He nods. "I don't want to steal anything." He finishes smoothing out another hole in the hollow tube of wood and then shows it to Oliver. "Do you like it?"

"Do I have to spell it out for you to understand? Beat it, shuckface."

"Okay. Bye, shuckface." He starts walking away.
