Probably the most vulnerable thing I’ll ever post.

This is, by far, the most likes and interactions I have ever had on a comment I left on a random video. And I’m glad it got the attention, got noticed, because it really is true. Every time I have been close to that really bad, dark place, I don’t tell people - but if you’re thinking that I don’t reach out, that’s not true. I remember one day in particular where I really had convinced myself that everyone would be better off without me; and everyone I tried to get in touch with left me on read. They had shit going on, I get it… but I wonder if this digital landscape means we take connection for granted, replace actual human connection with brief social media check ins, assume someone is fine because they posted a photo of themselves smiling on a beach somewhere, figured a quick “hope you’re having a great day” is a valid substitute for sharing authentic connection, vulnerability, humanity.

I’m not sharing this to make anyone feel bad - especially those who know me best - but just to remind everyone that in this world we are starving for connection. We are aching for authenticity, for human vulnerability, to share experiences and feel a little less alone. So go beyond the superficial in your next chat with your friend. “No, really, how have you been doing? I want to know.” Be willing to get a little uncomfortable; a little raw, in the hopes it might just save a life.

When I went to see my friends for the pride thing last weekend, we went out to eat before that and while we were talking about stuff while waiting for our bill, one of my friends who carries a whole medical bay in their bag took out one of those nice glass-cleaning wet wipes and started cleaning their glasses with it. Focused on the conversation I didn't pay much attention to it but the next time I looked at their direction I noticed them putting away glasses with a different glasses chain (they have like 35 of them, to match every outfit)

And I thought "hold on, how the fuck do they have the same kind of glasses chain pendants as I do? I made those out of earrings I found from goodwill!" until I realised that no wait those are my sunglasses. They just cleaned them out too since my glasses were right next to their elbow on the table and they had the glasses cleaning stuff out. Didn't ask whether I'd want them to do that as a favour, just casually took care of my shit too since it was conveniently there, just the same as they take care of their own things.

I drew this for pride this year!! I also got into PJSK and I couldn't think of a more fitting character (,,>ヮ<,,) Mizuki and the rest of N25 are my favourites so far~

These bills have nothing to do with keeping young people from doing certain things or protecting the children or whatever. Their point is and always has been one thing: If your operating system knows who you are it is impossible to have any real form of privacy on the computer.
