The Plattsmouth Journal, Nebraska, August 2, 1923
This stupid exchange between friends has become a cultural icon.
This text thread brought us into a new age
The year is 1 ATP (After Then Perish)
The 17th of August, 2017 is the date that Then Perish was posted by Tumblr user Spooky-Grimwhoire. Friday will be exactly one year after the original posting of Then Perish. Mark your calendars.
Iâm still here just different url the know your meme article is outdated and yes itâs on Friday
It is officially the 1 year anniversary kinda surreal tbh

went to see if my late package maybe showed up without being scanned
but the post man yesterday said it would be here at ooooooooooone
is 9âŚâŚâŚâŚ. post office closing timeâŚâŚ. no pkgâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ >:C
well at least i can skip my post office visit tomorrow
i mean what did i expect really
a package?
too unrealistic
amazon sent me a replacement for my lost package and it âarrivedâ today
omg she recognized me immediately and got nervous with me while checking the system using my name
she was just as distraught as me when it turned up âarriving tomorrowâ again but then she had another idea
mail is dumb
The mail lady saying âNO. I REFUSE to say it againâ was more climactic than the Braveheart speech.
oh my gosh, opâs bio says âThe package was a laptopâ which gives SUCH a new perspective

Hello Mr Gaiman,
Is the attention to details in season 2 of Good Omens as perfect as in season 1?
P.S: Love Good Omens
I'm afraid not.
For example, in Season 1 of Good Omens, the part of a demon named Crowley was played by actor David Tennant. Budget cuts in Season 2 mean that the part of Crowley in Season 2 will be shared between a glove puppet, a dear friend of the production manager's named, I believe, Raoul, and five trained fennec foxes wearing an overcoat.
Artist's rendition.

I asked my kids if theyâd prefer a secret garden or a secret library and my son shook his head and was like âI donât trust the secret gardeners and librariansâ
Me: what if there arenât any gardeners or librarians.
Son: thereâs always a librarian. Just because you canât see them doesnât mean they arenât there. And itâs a garden, there has to be someone taking care of it or it isnât really a garden.
Me:
Me: this was supposed to be lighthearted
Daughter: donât trust the secret librarian.
Son: any librarian who hoards a library to themselves is hiding something.
Daughter: /nods seriously/
Me: why are you two talking as if from experience should I be concerned
The kids are right Jazz
But what if I want to be the secret librarian?
Me: what if you were the secret librarian?
Son: wouldnât be a secret library. I have nothing to hide.
Daughter: so not a secret librarian. A good librarian.
Me: you two are on a wavelength I canât understand
What a way to find out your kids went on a whole-ass portal fantasy adventure at some point.
So I feel a little better about why this keeps happeningâŚ
You ever think about how unified humanity is by just everyday experiences? Tudor peasants had hangnails, nobles in the Qin dynasty had favorite foods, workers in the 1700s liked seeing flowers growing in pavement cracks, a cook in medieval Iran teared up cutting onions, a mom in 1300 told her son not to get grass stains on his clothes, some girl in the past loved staying up late to see the sun rise.
there are scriptures all over the world painstakingly crafted hundreds of years ago with paw prints and spelling mistakes or drawings covering up mistakes. a bunch of teenage girls 2000 years ago gathered to walk around their hometown, getting fast food and laughing with their friends. two friends shared blankets before people lived in houses. a mother ran a fine comb through her childâs hair and told it to stop squirming sometime in the 1000s. there are covered up sewing mistakes in couture dresses from the 1800s, some poor roman burnt their food so well past recognition that they just buried the entire pot. there are broken dishes hidden in gardens of people no one even remembers anymore
There are ancient ruins where someone had scratched âIgnar was hereâ in. People had pets with the local version of âFluffyâ as their name in ancient Greece, engraved on tablets and gravestones. Men and women wrote break-up letters and âI will throw your stuff out if you donât come pick them upâ in 1200 Persia. People paid for paintings of them with their cats or dogs. Some people decided to use the first few cameras to capture moments of making funny grimaces, impressive little stunts or just go âyep, hanging around, having a good timeâ.

Wellerman but an epic version that sounds like it should be playing in the background of a pirate fight sceneÂ
