what does it mean that they "require their blood in payment"? obviously it's a play on the idea of receiving payment in blood, but what do those words actually mean in that order? also and unrelated what the fuck do you MEAN the most powerful men in the world are a gaggle of college undergrads? working at a university really makes any romance set among college undergraduates unreadable but ESPECIALLY the dark romances where they're supposed to be like sinister mastermind daddy doms. he's 20 years old dude. there's a good chance he doesn't know how to do laundry.
