There seems to be an uptick in cissexism in the #diskhorse recently. I've noticed a few people expressing sentiments like ''if a trans man wasnt trans he'd still (just) a man, if a trans woman wasnt trans she'd (just) be woman*'' as a way to assert that trans men are somehow privileged over trans women.
Aside from the fact that, no, we are in fact talking about trans people here. By treating transness as an aside to our gender, it implies that cis gender dynamics are somehow more true and objective. I am trans. that is a material fact about my existence. It's impossible to extrapolate cisgender experiences to define our own because we are not cis
*side note, this is an incredibly narrow, binary view, rife with problems. Gender is deeply personal and subjective, and while this may be true for some, its certainly not true for everyone.
