You may be wondering how I got into this mess

contagion clinic nurse checking in on a long stay patient and when they nurse asks if there's anything they need. The poor thing shyly asks "help with blowig bmy dnose, or at least sobe bmore tissues" Sickie's been nothing but sweet, the nurse can't even bare the idea of saying to wait. So they hurriedly grab a few tissues from the supply area, the softest kind they can and come back. They pull up a hand full of them and gently cup them around the patient's very red swollen nose and tell them "go on, blow for me dear" and when they do its very gurggly and heavy sounding, like they definately needed to get all of that out. The tissues are feeling warm and full from just the first attempt. The nurse pulls the tissues away, looks and moves the clumps around to find a dryer spot before placing it back at the patient's nose. "good job hun, lets do it again, need to get out as much as you can"

I love when someone is just rubbing and rubbing and rubbing at their nose before they sneeze. It’s one thing knowing that their nose is itchy enough to make them sneeze, but to see them trying to manage it physically leading up to that point makes it that much sexier imo.

And sometimes it's just a totally idle motion and they don't even realize they're doing it on impulse, but other times you can see their frustration building at how needy their nose is as they crinkle and scrunch against their knuckles

and I mean allergy denial can also be selfish, as in, characters letting someone else know in no uncertain terms that there’s no way they could possibly be allergic to dogs, they LOVE dogs, and they are keeping this one despite the almost constant sniffling and the itchy eyes and nose and the sneezes they keep trying unsuccessfully to stifle, which, you know, actually, there are many reasons that they could be sneezing, in fact, the room they’re in seems kind of dusty, don’t you think, that’s probably it, it certainly isn’t this dog, which they have already named and are very attached to  

also: allergy denial that’s not really denial per se but someone trying their damnedest to hide/ignore their symptoms and pretending that nothing’s wrong until things blow up in their face, so to speak.
