How very depressing that Neil Gaiman had trended not even a tiny bit for demonstrating what a fucking horrific person he is.
As a reminder, he's suing Caroline Wallner, one of his accusers, for breaking her NDA. Not for libel. He's saying she shouldn't have told anyone about it, not that she lied.
The author says Wallner broke her NDA by sharing her story with the media, including with New York Magazine.
He doesn't need the money. He's risking the Streisand effect. He is punishing Caroline, he's trying to intimidate other victims who have signed NDAs to scare them into continued silence.
He is no friend to women, to the LGBTQIA+ community, to anyone quite frankly unless he thinks they are of value to him.
Share the story. Put it on Facebook and bluesky and whatever else you're on. Make it clear what a horrifying person he is. Tell your friends. He's paying Edendale a fortune to try and cover this up. Make this hard for him. Make it cost him money.
am i hyperfixating on this new homebrew scifi DnD campaign called Neon Odyssey from some of my favourite funny creators who also hate AI and made this entirely with human animators + a song by the band The Midnight?
perhaps........

The US tortured a chinese scientist to death and the media calls it "hostile questioning"
His name is Danhao Wang and he was murdered on March 19, 2026.
“On March 19, at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers from the University of Michigan Police Department responded to a report of a subject who fell inside the George G. Brown Building,” the statement read. “A faculty research assistant was found after falling from an upper level and was later pronounced deceased.”
Lin Jian, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the U-M researcher died by suicide after U.S. law enforcement interrogated him, urging the U.S. to conduct a full investigation.
Wang worked in the lab of Zetian Mi, an electrical and computer engineering professor. Engineering Dean Karen Thole wrote in an email Friday that Wang played a major role in research breakthroughs at the University of Michigan, and the community is mourning his death. “Dr. Wang was a promising and brilliant young mind, whose research into wide bandgap III-nitride semiconductor materials and devices published in Nature stands as a landmark, uncovering for the first time the switching and charge compensation mechanisms of emerging ferroelectric nitrides,” Thole wrote. “His loss is felt deeply not only by those who knew him here at the University, but also everyone who understands his potential to have contributed to breakthroughs in science that would have positively impacted people around the world.”
DPSS is investigating the March 20 death of Danhao Wang, an assistant research scientist in the College of Engineering.
"Suicide by throwing himself down the stairs." Cops love that one.
@elodieunderglass - This made me think of you.
Thank you so much for this

Aka, one of the very few times in the series Torbek has an ok time lol
Guess what I was working on for all of January. And part of February. And some of March. This was a ton of work and you will find me crumpled under a rock somewhere for a while because of it
There was something about this scene that was very visually vibrant to me, and I really enjoyed the way the information was revealed and played out, which is why I chose to adapt it! I started this purely as a way to practice thumbnailing and start my comics year of with something self indulgent and fun. However, I experienced so much genuine joy in the process (plus my discord friends dared me to finish it), it turned into an exploration of what a potential "publishing style" comic process might look like for me... I learned a ton from making this and will approach comics in a far better way in the future🤣 Like. I did this in the most complicated and time consuming way fr
Thank you very much for reading. I hope you enjoyed it ❤️
BONUS: (I decided to omit this moment even tho it's iconic because I didn't like the way it interrupted the flow 😭A pittance for thee)

Copyright class actions could financially ruin AI industry, trade groups say.
AI industry groups are urging an appeals court to block what they say is the largest copyright class action ever certified. They’ve warned that a single lawsuit raised by three authors over Anthropic’s AI training now threatens to “financially ruin” the entire AI industry if up to 7 million claimants end up joining the litigation and forcing a settlement.
well…darn

Authors have until March 30th, 2026 (That is just 9 days as of this reblog, which I am posting on March 21st, 2026) to file their claim against Anthropic to be reimbursed up to $3,000 per work found in the list.
Updated February 18, 2026 IMPORTANT: The Claims Deadline Is March 30 Background Bartz v. Anthropic is one of the major copyright lawsuits b
Please click the above link for all of the exact details of how to file a claim and to check for your works, and share this post as far and wide as you can before March 30th, 2026!

🚨BREAKING: OpenAI published a paper proving that ChatGPT will always make things up.
Not sometimes. Not until the next update. Always. They proved it with math.
Even with perfect training data and unlimited computing power, AI models will still confidently tell you things that are completely false. This isn't a bug they're working on. It's baked into how these systems work at a fundamental level.
And their own numbers are brutal. OpenAI's o1 reasoning model hallucinates 16% of the time. Their newer o3 model? 33%. Their newest o4-mini? 48%. Nearly half of what their most recent model tells you could be fabricated. The "smarter" models are actually getting worse at telling the truth.
Here's why it can't be fixed. Language models work by predicting the next word based on probability. When they hit something uncertain, they don't pause. They don't flag it. They guess. And they guess with complete confidence, because that's exactly what they were trained to do.
The researchers looked at the 10 biggest AI benchmarks used to measure how good these models are. 9 out of 10 give the same score for saying "I don't know" as for giving a completely wrong answer: zero points. The entire testing system literally punishes honesty and rewards guessing.
So the AI learned the optimal strategy: always guess. Never admit uncertainty. Sound confident even when you're making it up.
OpenAI's proposed fix? Have ChatGPT say "I don't know" when it's unsure. Their own math shows this would mean roughly 30% of your questions get no answer. Imagine asking ChatGPT something three times out of ten and getting "I'm not confident enough to respond." Users would leave overnight. So the fix exists, but it would kill the product.
This isn't just OpenAI's problem. DeepMind and Tsinghua University independently reached the same conclusion. Three of the world's top AI labs, working separately, all agree: this is permanent.
Every time ChatGPT gives you an answer, ask yourself: is this real, or is it just a confident guess?

Resist the push for generative AI. Make art.
Source:
Alt Text: Four panels of a comic by artist Joshua W. Cotter entitled "Make Art".
Panel 1: "Art poses a threat to corporatocratic systems because a purpose of art is to remind the individual of their inherent autonomy. Their humanity."
Panel 2: "That is a purpose in direct diametric opposition to that of corporatocratic systems: objectification of the individual for profit and control."
Panel 3: "Generative A.I. is part of an authoritarian corporatocratic effort to co-opt and commodify the creative process to rid the end result — art — of that with threatens its existence — humanity."
Panel 4: "Resist commodification. Defy corporatocracy. Defy oligarchy. Defy their anti-human, anti-life authoritarian movement. Make art." — JWC, 02-10-26
