Why do white trans women treat the word doll like its an oppressive label forced upon them... grow up girl. No, no, thats an insult to children....
Seriously, whats with the ignorance regarding this term? It's not some cringe shit by cis gays like most queer/tme terminology tends to be. It's a word invented by Black/latina trans women... it's not the death of you. Come on now...
Help the crackers are doing this annoying shit in the notes

i bring a sort of “you should maybe interrogate your so-called ‘preferences’ to make sure they’re not literal textbook examples of severe unconscious bias” vibe that my woke gay friends dont really like
There's always a moment of intense cultural whiplash whenever I realize I'm talking to someone who thinks "legal" and "illegal" are meaningful categories and ascribes innate goodness to following the law. It's like meeting a space alien.

Daily reminder to Americans on this website that American war on Iran is bad because Iranians are getting killed not because you can no longer afford going to the movies in the weekends or refill your car 😒
Y'know what, this reminder also includes non-Americans. Let's watch our words and keep the victims of American aggressions in our heart always

can anyone recommend me good specifically intersex literature and theory and history that they vibe with or is relevant 🥺
For history:
Envisioning African Intersex is a valuable read and provides really important intersectional context about the history of intersexism, eugenics, racism, and colonialism. This book has like all of the content warnings but that comes with the history its covering, and does so with care.
Bodies in Doubt is also decent. Be ready for some objectifying medical imagery though.
For theory:
Lessons from the Intersexed was kinda the first serious intersex studies book. It holds up reasonably well and pretty much everything that has come since builds on it.
I'm fond of the edited volume Transgender and Intersex, love seeing intersex studies and trans studies working together and building solidarity. (Fuckology also gets points for this!)
I don't read much fiction, but the folks at @intersexbookclub probably have good suggestions!
i donmt actually feel safe around people who have knee-jerk reactions to csa discussions or accusations, ive neve r had the words for this but the reality is i have to walk aroudn every day with the knowledge and memory and truth which is that i enjoyed it . I knew extremely well what washappening, and that it was going to happen that night/weeknd anyway, and i knew an enjoyable way to get thru it. This convinced me there was no reason to tell anyone afterward, no reason to process it as my rape, since I, a big kid grade schooler, welcomed it, even tho I knew what was done was wrong in theory. I then spent my whole (early) puberty trying to chase and relive that "high" of being desirable and proving i could perform precociously.
i wish i'd never been high to begin with. it's like i was lifted into the air and dropped with no parachute. and my ass said "wheeee."
Re-reading Harrow the Ninth and the older I get, the more I understand Ortus. He’s been working on his WIP for god knows how long, will almost certainly never finish it, and quotes it at anyone who will listen. Doesn’t want to get involved in literally anything else. I get it.
i agree that "dumbass useless husband hypercompetent wife" is a bad trope but also I think non-disabled people are really weird about the concept of caring for someone as a way of showing love
like. loving someone means taking care of them. not just when they're old, not just when they get sick or injured.
your romantic partner has needs that need to be met and will sometimes need you to do things they cant, this is not wrong or weird and it doesn't automatically make them an Evil Manipulative Abuser or whatever. I feel like the culture I was raised in treats willingly caring for people you care about as dangerously codependent or infantilizing or shameful/embarrassing
like???? oh my god. disabled people can and do date people and fall in love and have romantic partners and you are being really weird about it
you can meet transgender women on the internet
