hi i'm a disabled transfem who can't afford to work more than part-time unless i can find a job that doesn't destroy my body. my roommate has at least half of its income tied up in supporting disabled family already and its partner who can't work right now also lives with us

i will spare the sob story but my life fell apart last year and i had essentially nothing except my PC and my car as well as losing a large amount of money that i was really relying on being there.

on top of that a lot of unexpected expenses have been popping up this year for us and we could really use some help to make the next ones a little less scary and make sure that none of us start skipping meals or resorting to anything drastic

i'm hesitant to make a post like this knowing i have mutuals who are in more dire situations than we are but i've been convinced that it's ok to do. we have this apartment and my car so please don't prioritize this over someone else.

and the thing is!!! before it all went to shit!! I'd literally talked and complained about transmisogyny!! several times, even. but it was brushed off and everyone would proceed as normal. but the second a trans woman talked about the exact same fucking thing they went completely mask off in less than a day. im still reeling because i guess it was the first time i saw it happen firsthand in a personal setting. i guess it was the two-facedness of it all and the refusal to take any responsibility after the fact. it was so disgusting
