Rape Escape
Easy and very effective
Requires nothing but your body
Includes attack
Very useful to know, pass and share please.
Worth watching
I donāt mean to impose a personal favour on you guys, but I really would like to ask that everyone who follows me reblog this.Ā
I donāt think I made it very clear but last month I was sexually assaulted by someone who I thought was my friend (I donāt want to talk about it donāt ask), and itās⦠really fucked with my head.Ā
Had I known this a month ago I would have been able to get away.Ā
So, essentially, Iām really pleading with you to reblog this so everyone who follows you doesnāt get stuck in the same position I was with no way out.Ā
I mean again I donāt want the point of this to be my sob story or whatever but if you could reblog this it would seriously mean a lotĀ
and im asking to all of my followers who see this post in your dashboard to please press play to this video, you never know when this is gonna be
useful, PLEASE DONāT IGNORE IT.
This is one of the first moves I was taught in Krav Maga, and it is one of the most effective.
It took me about a half hour to get down with practice, but once you get it, itās an intuitive movement.
Please pass this along, it will save lives.
Important
Please reblog this.
Please, if you see this, Reblog it.Ā
If you see this, reblog please.
not witchy but definitely worth watching, stay safe
If you follow me, REBLOG THIS
HONESTLY
Good Luck to all my fellow Queenslanders sitting the QCS Tests tomorrow and Wednesday!
To non-Queenslanders, the QCS Tests are two days of testing undergone by eligible grade twelve students to determine the the ranking and average OP (overall position) of the school. Each student is awarded an OP based off their subjects and their school ranking, and this number is the major factor in determining admission into Queensland universities.
For everyone sitting the test (like me!) here are some strategies you have no doubt been taught but might need some reminding of:
- have a good night of sleep - eat a good and healthy breakfast - donāt have too much caffeine, you might crash - deep, controlled breathing if youāre stressed
Also: - remember the marking criteria of the Writing Task- responsiveness, grammar and punctuation, spelling, and structure - you can eliminate multiple choice answers by looking for a change in tense, atmosphere, wording, anything like that - in the Multiple Choice and the Short Response tests, make sure you do the questions you know first
And while you should take this seriously because your results effect your whole cohort, remember that you can only do your best and everyone has their own strengths. If you think you did badly, donāt sweat it, because the whole point of QCST is that you and your grade work together. Youāll be fine.
Fitting in some Saturday morning study before work tonight! Exams are in less than a week and QCS starts Tuesday so Iām trying to cram as much knowledge into my brain as possible before then. Good luck to my fellow Aussie studyblrs for your upcoming exams! x

Welcome to the community ! Thank you for the mention, you're an angel x
1. Have a Positive Mental Attitude- Prime yourself at being always comfortable and confident that u can do a lot better at studying. Remember that you are studying things that will prove to be valuable in real life.Ā 2. Prepare your Work Space- Look for a place in your home or bedroom where u think u can study and maintain concentration in your work. Have materials stocked up and in place before your study. This way, u can finish your work without any interruptions.Ā 3. Avoid Cramming- study an hour a day even when thereās no homework. Scan your notebooks and do a little advanced reading of your textbooks. You can also research through the internet to learn more about the topics u are covering in school.Ā Ā I suggest google scholar, itās like google but for students, it has the citations, and filters results so that only helpful outcomes appear. 4. Do projects with more enthusiasm and creativity- Donāt be afraid to think of new ideas or ways to present your homework or projects. Teachers always give additional points to students who show great effort in their works. SO, donāt be afraid to do something original, do something that hasnāt been done before. 5. Raise Your Hand- Be active and establish a friendly attitude towards your teachers. Offer to help them out in checking some work, filing papers or just carrying their things. Little good things add up in the end for that extra effort grade, and theyāll always remember you as a very helpful student.Ā 6. Enjoy Reading the Latest News- Find connections or associations with your life as a student, as a child, as a friend, or as a citizen. Certain reports would always ask for u to react so better be ahead with current events which you may be affected with.Ā 7. Listen to Your Teacher, take a few notes- In my experience, the more i copy and take down notes, the more i get lost in the lecture. It is best to listen first and understand before u jot down any important keywords. Yes, use keywords, simple doodles and arrows to make associations. These will help u remember all concepts mentally.Ā 8. Keep Notes on Index Cards- I use personally use the smaller oxford ones, they are more portable honestly pretty aesthetic..Ā Ā 9. Watch TV Wisely- Yep you heard it, TV, when watching TV I sometimes pick up points which may seem relevant in my life. They sometimes even have something to do with whatās happening in class at the moment so, always initiate conversation about the latest shows and issues you have watched. Donāt be afraid to argue and defend your opinions.Ā
i know this isnt aesthetics but THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT!
i got an email from my mother (who is bi and proud) about this. australians will have 14 days to register to vote in the same-sex marriage postal vote. this means everyone needs to get on the electoral roll or check their enrolment is correct ASAP! students like myself are particularly likely to not be enrolled or have incorrect details on the electoral roll.
so if you are australian and you areĀ over 18, please dear god,Ā make sure you are on the electoral roll!Ā if you are already enrolled, make sure your details are correct and up to date!
even if you arent australian, i would REALLYĀ appreciate if you spread this!
im australian and i cannot marry my current partner without same-sex marriage being legal. i know without a doubt there are many other australiansĀ who are also unable to marry their partners too.
Date: 10/08/2017
[link to full story] [link to enrol] [link to update address]
make sure your postal address is correct! it only takes a few minutes.
Postal Plebiscite Masterpost
So the government has decided to go ahead with a postal plebiscite. What does this mean? What do you need to do? Letās begin:
Enrol to vote if you havenāt.Ā If you have already then sweet! You only need to register to vote once (so if youāve voted in an election before you can relax).
14% of people age 18-24 arenāt enrolled to voteĀ according to recent data soĀ remind your friends to enrol to voteĀ just in case they havenāt!
Update your change of address.Ā Is your address up to date? Then sweet! But if youāve moved and havenāt told the AEC thenĀ YOU HAVE UNTIL THE 24th OF AUGUSTĀ TO DO SO! THATāS NOT VERY FAR OFF!
Ballot papers will start arriving in the mail fromĀ September 12. Itāll be sent out through the ABS (Australian Bureau of Statistics) So check your mailboxes.
YOU WILL HAVE UNTIL NOVEMBER 7TH TO POST THEM BACK
Itās not compulsoryĀ which means the governmentĀ is probably hoping you forget and donāt do it. Political apathy is a tool of the government to wield power unchecked. Donāt forget. Do it. Remind your friends to do it. Set a calendar reminder in your phone or something. Have your voice heard. If the result is a majorityĀ ānoā vote then the Liberals will use this as political firepower for years to come to deny LGBT+ people rights. So itās not the option we wanted butĀ a boycott will be politically pointless and only destroy theĀ āyesā vote.Ā Theyāve twisted our arm into having to partake in this farce but partake in it we must to get what we deserve
You can vote overseasĀ as long as youāreĀ registered as an overseas elector which can be done via the AEC website.
The result is expectedĀ November 15thĀ but this isnāt a vote to make it legal, itās a vote to prove to the government that Australia wants it to be legal, and thus a bill will be introduced (upon aĀ āyesā majority) and therefore potentially we might have marriage equality just before the end of the year.
So go forth and make Australia a better place, everyone! Talk to people, make sure people are enrolled to vote, have up to date mailing addresses with the AEC, and make it clear how important it is to send aĀ āYES!ā vote off by the due date!

I have struggled with make a good study plan for years, until last year. And because of this I decided to help you, if you have the same problem as me.
Like we all know studying is an important part of our academic success. However, can be difficult to find the time to study for every subject we need to study for. One way to ensure studying success is to create a good study schedule. For it not only you have to prioritize the subjects you need to study for, but you also have to prioritize other responsibilities, such as family, yourself, friends and entertainment. So for a good study plan you should use the SMART principles developed by Edwin Locke, like you would do when you trace your goals.
Use an agenda. It depends on person to person, but I usually do my study plan based on the week that will start, because if you think about it for the whole month itās overwhelming.
Assess your current schedule. Your first step in creating a study schedule should be assess your current schedule and the way you currently spend time, this will help you identify where you can be more efficient and what activities you might be able to cut.
Determine how many hours a week you currently study.
Determine how many hours a week you currently devote to entertainment.
Determine how many hours a week you currently spend with friends and family.Ā
Note: People tend to find they spend a lot of time on entertainment, start cutting there.
Then you need to list all the subjects you will need to study: Put this on paper will help you get a better idea of what you really have to do.
Figure out what you need to do for each subject or exam. While your time commitment and other obligations for a specific class might vary per week, chances are youāll find out that over the long-haul, youāll need a certain amount of time per subject.
Prioritize your list: after made the list of all the subjects or exams you need to study for and figured out what you need to do for each, prioritize the list. Ranking each class will help you figure out to what you need do devote the most time to.
Write down all study-appointments. Before you go on, you need to divide up your available time during the week into study blocks. After you do this, you can go and assign your blocks to a subject.
Reserve time for non-academic activities. While blocking off time for each subject, you also need to make sure that you are reserving time for family, friends and yourself. Remember that you wonāt be able to succeed at your studies unless you create a healthy balance between your personal life and your academic life.
Fill in your study blocks. Once youāve got your schedule blocked out and you know what you need to schedule, fill in your schedule. Write down which subject you are studying in each session. So now that you are filling your schedule, is time to use the SMART method.
S for Specific: What will you be doing? When will you have a break?
M for Measurable: How will you know you have understood? Read, test, repeat, make notes?
A for Acceptable: Are you prepared to start studying that night or morning if you wonāt feel like it?
R for Realistic: Will you have enough time to study these pages in that amount of time?
T for Time-bound: When will you start and stop?
Donāt forget to take into account your learning style. You need to take attention to your learning style, because if you know how you learn better you can do things to improve your study that can not seem to be work. Like if you are auditory learner: Perhaps you can listen to recorded lectures or other audio studying material when driving in the car or when working out in the gym. Or if you are a visual learner, you can watch videos as a way to learn and as a way of entertainment.
Lastly, but not least: Keep one to two days study-free.
Handwritten Econs notes āŗļøš¤
Work Smarter, Not Harder: study tips psychology taught me
study in shorter intervals and take breaks (ie, 40 minutes studying and 20 minutes break)
during your break donāt watch tv or surf the internet. get outside if you can and go for a walk. or at least listen to some instrumental music and walk around your hall. or meditate or do some art. anything that doesnāt require super directed attention. this allows your attention to be replenished. itās like a muscle and you gotta give it time to rest. tv doesnāt allow for that.
relate the information to yourself and your life. creating visual images will improve your memory.
when studying, take notes by hand and put them in your own words. generating material yourself will encode the material better in your brain, and youāll remember it better
donāt just reread, rehearse! quiz yourself on the materials. if you use a visual image āmemory palaceā technique, walk yourself through it. youāre likely to remember information youāve tested yourself on better.
organizing information into groups that make sense create more connections in your brain and allow you to remember things better. the more meaningful connections you make, the better.
make sure the last thing you do before bed is study. no phone, no netflix. your brain will process what youāve just done while you sleep and this improve recall.
(feel free to add any!)

Hey guys. Iām glad to be finally posting my āmental breakdown survival guideā. As you know I struggle a lot with mental health, and so I have been through a lot of breakdowns. So many that I actually dropped out of university after 3 weeks in 2016 and had to take the whole year off. Because of this, Iāve made it my mission to help others with mental health issues as much as I can, so you donāt have to go through what Iāve been through.
Anyway, here is my guide. I tried to keep it general, and actually useful. If you have any questions or additions please feel free to add them.
And as ever, if you want to talk to me about studying with mental illness or want to see a post on a specific topic, please feel free to message me.
