Maybe the idea of “deserving” things has distorted our perspective on rest. Rest is a necessity- it’s not something we only get when we’ve worked hard!

We’re all just little headache machines and we need to take our daily mandated no-headache liquid and rest and air. 😆

really epic movie trailers that have the perfect soundtrack for said movie

putting on your favorite sleep t-shirt before bed and getting all comfy

getting the perfect picture of a flower you thought was pretty

receiving a text from friends saying they’re on their way

taking a selfie that makes you actually feel good

returning to nature after you’ve been in the city

bouncing on furniture to test it out before buying

finishing a book in a series and having the next one to read immediately after

seeing little kids wave at you and being told they don’t usually do that

Today’s Exhibit of the Day? Snapped sometime before 1921, this archival image depicts a Museum preparator sculpting a clay model of an extinct brontothere. Many brontotheres, or “thunder beasts,” had large bony “horns” on their snouts. Strong neck musculature suggests that these animals may have used their headgear to batter rivals or defend themselves from predators. These horns may have also been used to attract mates: However, such paleontological puzzles are hard to test and solve with any certainty when no close evolutionary relatives are still living. Brontotheres became extinct about 30 million years ago during the Eocene.
