The Ballad of Bobby Finstock is a fic that focuses on what happens in Beacon Hills before the show starts, and follows Bobby Finstock (and his cousin Natalie, and his friend Melissa). It covers from 1992 to 2012, much like my other Teen Wolf prequel (The Noble Path of a Lone Alpha) which is about Satomi. Bobby gets into a lot of trouble, and he's frankly insane, but it's all for his kids, in the end!
This bit belongs to the appendix, the very last bit of the fic:
Life had its funny ways.
Bobby had to laugh โ laugh loudly and like a maniac.
He had tried his best, since becoming a teacher, to keep his kids safe. All his students were his kids, but especially those in the lacrosse team (except, perhaps, Greenberg, but that was a grudge that had begun before even Greenberg Jr had been born). And now those kids were werewolves.
Or, at least, for a token definition of โnowโ. Bobby had done so well during so many years being blind to the obvious.
Werewolvesโฆ the very same creatures that had terrorised his town for generations; that had kept his and other families living in quiet contempt, accepting that some things simplyโฆ happened. His grandmother had been right on so many accounts. Wherever she was, Bobby was sure she would feel vindicated.
But now, it seemed, the problem was not the werewolves. The problem were the people like him; the townsfolk who had learnt about the werewolves and had reacted in a way he had never expected โ probably because they were outsiders, people who had not grown up in Beacon Hills.

It was morning and Allison and Lydia were watching the knights train. Not just any knights, these were supposed to be Allison's knights. Nominally, that was why Allison was watching them train but really the pair were just using it as an excuse to gossip.

Her friendship with Malia still felt precious and new and Lydia wanted to keep it as hers for just a little while longer.
