Nod doesn't currently have a power level classification. In theory, it could be considered an omega level mutant because there is no known limit to its main power but because it hasn't yet exceeded the most powerful mutant in its power classification, it can't officially be called omega level.

Life-force absorption: Nod's original mutation is the ability to absorb the life-force of any living thing it comes into physically contact with. If making contact with fauna, the effect it has on its victims manifests as extreme illness (nausea, vomiting, sweating, fever, tremors, extreme body pains) that leads to total organ and body shut down until they die. If it makes contact with flora, rot consumes the plant until it dies. The length of this process varies depending on the size and/or stored energy within the victim. The duration of the contact also plays an important role and determines the severity of the damage done. A short touch often causes fever and nausea in humans/mutants/animals and small spots of decay on plants but no permanent damage. The effects become more damaging and permanent upon stained contact. Its touch also leaves behind a black mark where it makes contact that spreads across the victim until it completely covers them and the process is complete. The life-force stored within its body can be used for healing itself, slowing aging drastically, strengthening its other powers, and strengthening it physically.

Power absorption: In the event that Nod comes into contact with a mutant or other super-powered/enhanced human, it has the ability to permanently take on their powers but only if they absorb all of their life force (aka, kills them). Unless it does that, it gains none of it's victims abilities. It should also be noted that the mutations it takes on manifest differently in Nod than they did in their original user.

Dream projection/technopathy: Gained later in life, Nod has the ability to project its dreams into electronic devices. This could be anything from a television to a walkie talkie, even a fax machine! In the event that the device doesn't have a screen but does have the ability to make sound, the sounds of the dream will come through. If the device has neither and, instead, only has text, the dialog of the dream will come through, a phenomenon it affectionately calls it's "subtitles". Occasionally, still frames of the dream will print themselves. Nod cannot control this and was unaware it had absorbed the power at all until its dreams started coming through all the secure radio frequencies at one of the bases it was stationed at during its time in the military. (The original owner of this mutation could project themself into other people's dreams, both while awake and asleep. The reasoning behind the differences in the original power and Nod's absorbed version is unknown.)

Technokinesis: As a side effect of gaining its dream projecting mutation, Nod's original mutation now allows it to siphon energy from electronics much like it does with living things. This, however, is voluntary and it actually has to focus very hard to make it happen. The energy can be used the same way as the life-force it stores, however it leaves Nod with a jittery/antsy/twitchy feeling and often makes it very paranoid.

(Minor) Empathic abilities: The newest of its powers, Nod's empathic abilities seem to directly contradict its original mutation. Upon physical contact, it can feel the surface level emotions of whoever/whatever it is touching. This doesn't just apply to humans/animals either, objects carry emotion too! Generally, objects merely carry a faint echo of whatever the last person to touch it was feeling but if an object is tied to a strong emotion, Nod will feel that, regardless of whoever touched it last. When in use, this power directly affects Nod's own emotional state. With no way of practicing this ability on a living thing without causing harm and, therefore, feeling how much pain it is causing, Nod only has partial control of this power. It has, however, gotten decently good at deciphering the jumbled mess that is human emotion covering the world's knick-knacks. (The original owner of this mutation could alter other's emotions. The reasoning behind the differences in the original power and Nod's absorbed version is unknown.)

Physical mutations: Nod's physical mutations have accumulated over time, slowly turning it into that it looks like today. Not all of its physical mutations came from mutants, it is theorized that the humans it acquired some of its physical mutations from had a strong but dormant x-gene that hadn't manifested in them but because prevalent when transferred to Nod's body.

The first of them are the only mutations Nod has been able to acquire without "killing" someone. These include claw-like nails, pointed ears, sharpened canines, thicker skin, and enhanced hearing and sense of smell.

The next one caused the entirety of its eyes to turn black. This also worsened its eye sight, made it's eyes more sensitive to light, and took away all its ability to see colors outside of black, white, and gray scale.

After that it gained its most extensive physical mutations, the ones that turned its skin and hair gray and gave it its tail. The mutant Nod took this mutation from had horns and a non-physical ability it has long since forgotten.

Its latest physical mutation is the black, tattoo like markings that now cover its body. The mutant it took this from had several pairs of eyes and bat-like wings.
