I'm fandom trash who spends most of my days thinking about fictional characters and doing nefarious things to them. I'm multifandom and you'll prob see me post/reblog from across the board on here. My hyperfixations usually last for at least a few months, but can change whenever, as is the nature of... well... hyperfixations.

Currently I'm super fixated on Kaiji. I'm reading the manga, you can block the #orangereadskaiji tag if you don't want to get spammed with my reactions or get spoiled for future parts (I'm not currently beyond where the anime ends but one day I will be!).

On that note, I am in a lot of adult fandoms and have a liking for darker, mature and potentially sensitive topics, so just be mindful of that! Think violence, noncon, abusive or unhealthy relationship dynamics... I do tag some things, but for the most part if you're easily squicked by a lot of stuff (which is valid), just be aware that you risk seeing content of this nature!

I draw and write, and although I'm lazy as hell and don't do either of those things as often as I want to, I like to post them sometimes, so-! Those will usually be tagged #mine.

4.if you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

how within the realm of possibility is this question... because if i could do anything at all, I'd want to jump out of my window and sprout wings to soar through the sky with...pfft..... jokes aside, if I could do absolutely anything in the world (within the realm of being physically possible) I'd love to catch a flight to Toronto to go see my best friend.. we've known each other for over two years now, but haven't been able to meet up in person yet.

6. What's your hair routine like? Anything special?

Honestly, not really! I shampoo, condition, and then after I get out I apply a little oil to keep it soft. Since I don't bother using a towel when I get out the shower I do use a hairdryer so I don't drip all over the place, but I use the lowest setting and try to keep it at a distance. If it's really really hot like it's been for some of the heatwave, I'll just air dry it.

17. do you believe in luck and superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any lucky rules?

mmmmmmmmmmmm.... i wanna say I don't, but I'd just be flat out lying buwahaha. I do believe luck is a thing, though idk if one can exactly 'cultivate' it or anything. I'm a little superstitious, I'm like Kaiji in the sense that (especially when stressed) I look for 'signs from the universe', where perhaps there aren't any. I think it's holdovers from being raised religious, faith and superstition overlap a lot.

I was about to say I don't have any lucky items, but that's a lie! I have a pair of horse earrings my friend sent me (my chinese zodiac is year of the horse- aka this year, teehee). I wore them once on a day out and they really saved my ass when my card suddenly declined on an expensive purchase (I'd forgotten my PIN..embarrassing!) and I had quite literally EXACTLY the amount I needed to complete the transaction in cash in my wallet. If I'd been short of just a few coins I'd have been screwed! So after starting out with really bad luck, it suddenly swerved back. I guess the fact I have that mentality at all of "the earrings saved me" probably suggests a tendency towards superstition, huh?

Funnily enough, later that literal same day, I saw a volume of Kaiji (yes, Kaiji!) on the bookshelf at a store, despite it being niche as hell and certainly not something high enough in demand to make an appearance at all. It's not even available in the manga store where I live! So I'd had an embarassing and unfortunate experience, but not only was my ass just about saved, but I also ended up buying a volume of what had (at the time) started as my new hyperfix. The good luck counteracted the bad.

16. what's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago?

five years ago was 2021, hm? .... ohh man. that's the year i started a downwards spiral i still haven't fully recovered from ahhhhhh. i think i'd throw a bpd workbook at my younger self's head and tell them to read it and for the love of god stop secretly believing everyone is going to leave you someday. most do, but some people will stay, and will love you, i promise.
