Spent tonight at a local short film festival. One of the shorts was made by two 12 year olds in their backyard and it was the best short of the entire night

It won the audience choice award, obviously

we think pining is romantic because fidelity is romantic. the reason it pulls at our heartstrings is less the idea of a longing that can never be satisfied and more the idea of someone being faithful to their love even when they’re not getting anything from it

tumblr is so funny bc u could have 20,000 followers but then only get 3 notes on some posts which is basically the equivalent of performing a song in front of a sold out arena and hearing like…2 people clapping and one weak cheer

we’re almost there (and by almost there i do in fact mean about 427 days left but thats a lot less than 969 so)

it started at 1000 days lol so over halfway there

It's so nice being on tumblr because you don't even have to make your own post but people would still follow you anyways if you're good at rebloging posts they like

Blackout poetry exists on a dual axis from "banal" to "insightful" on the input side and "kind of deep" to "incredibly fucking dumb" on the output side, and while taking something banal and producing something kind of deep is well and fine, for my money taking something insightful and rendering it incredibly fucking dumb is where the real art is.

When you are posting on tumblr, do not add your commentary to the text of the post, in case others disagree with you and the original poster may come and say to you, "Make your own post," and then you will be in disgrace. But when you post, add your commentary to the tags, so that when the original poster sees them, they may say to you, ‘Friend, do not hide this in the tags'; then you will be honored in the presence of all who blog with you.
